today i made: a flail! someone in my local buy nothing posted to see if anyone had one (presumably plastic) for a kill bill office costume and i was like pfft I can totally make that. and I did! the ball is knit and the chain and spikes are crochet. it's stuffed with scraps which gives it a pleasant weight heavier than polyfil. this just about used a skein of acrylic that's been kicking around but I DO have more grey yarn in wool and cotton. just sayin :3 could even put some eyes on there. happy spookyween!!

I am having a Mesh Moment here is the first of (at least) three very similar projects because it is the world's most comfortable layering sweater I wore it under a tank top the other day and a. it looked so cute b. the body is exactly long enough to corral the girls but in a comfy not a bra way. no real pattern, and it's made up of a variegated greens patons kroy and the solid green is some wollmeise I've been hoarding. AND i have like 80g of the wollmeise left which is a good sized project OR another sweater if I combine it with another skein. (also the ghost patches are up on brinnanza. com go get spooky)

a quick project to show off today! I wove this fabric from odds and ends maybe.... 10 years ago? and I've been hanging onto it waiting for inspiration to strike. a couple of folds and two simple seams and now it's a mail organizer! wahoo! hello! I have been very very ill with covid and other things! however, this turtle has been received so I can show it off!! the pattern is snap the African flower turtle by heidibears. I used some deep stash for this, some wollmeise, a Debbie bliss Angora blend, and the brown is some skinny bugga I've had probably since college. I've been so scared to use my nice yarn in case I don't maximize it's use but then I decided the point of yarn is to use it and if I can use nice stuff or cheap stuff I might as well use nice stuff! don't wait for opportunities to use the good china!!! every day is the right opportunity!

anyway yes I made this for my dear friend Rian it's been on my list of projects forever I am glad to have finally finished it!
