I made another lil vest!! yarn is most of one ball of aunt Lydia's quick denim I picked up at dabble, and the pattern is short and sweet by Angela Best out of the book The Happy Ho**er, a book I have have for I think actually 20 years. Glad I hung on to it, cause I really like how this vest came out!

GOODBYE summer I am ready for FALL. the weather disagrees with me though, so in the mean time I will get my fall jollies through fall themed headbands. this one has little pumpkins on the ties! Definitely going to make more.

I tend to feel Some Type Of Way about traditionally feminine practices like wearing earrings because of you know the gender of it all, but I decided somewhere between months and years ago that I could wear one hoop all the time like a sexy pirate and that was okay by the gender. and also I was correct and I do look like a sexy pirate. Anyway, I am not immune to the jingle jangle of a good dangly earring (one of many things I have in common with your average toddler) so I've decided to rock with the asymmetry! sexy pirate hoop on one side, a rotating cast of nonsense on the other. here are a bunch I've made recently! (the little adipose came from a craft swap like 15 years ago, and I didn't make the like beads and feathers and stuff but you know what I mean I did put them all on earring wires)

made myself THEE cutest lil mesh shrug wahoo! it still has not been blocked because I have been too busy wearing it. it is the perfect layer for too much air conditioning and now I'm gonna make 30 more so I have one in every color

my fabric stash is getting a little unwieldy (meaning I cannot justify purchasing more despite the many many cute prints at dabble), so I took some time to whip up some bags! most of this fabric is either from a thrift store or I've had it for 15 years. the tote is fully reversible and the drawstring bags are all lined! I'm keeping a few but if you come by dabble for the Manassas fall Jubilee you might be able to get one for yourself! (you can also dm me. and if I make another batch I'll probably put them up on kofi).

a tiny porcelain cup (part of a doll tea set I found thrifting a million years ago) + a little bit of wick I found at dabble + the last dregs of a big candle too low to burn + a lighter (until it ran out and then I used a tealight to finish melting the wax) = BRAND NEW CANDLE!!

it was a pretty easy process, but this was more an exercise in recycling than thinking I'll get into candle making. my roommate burns a lot of candles, and I like to make things out of the containers and I hate to throw away the dregs if I can still save them! and lo, the teensiest lil candle. Will definitely be playing with it more in the future probably with thrift/garage sale candle ends and probably a heat gun.

I have made another vest!! I used just about every inch of four skeins of a trendsetter cotton tape yarn I found at dabble. it was sooo splitty to work with, but I like how this came out! gonna wear it over a long sleeved tee and tights in the winter, but I threw together a quick summer Look so I could show it off :3 the little pops of color in the yarn are so fun against all the black!
