Episode 12 is a different kind of show: no guest, no news rundown, just one topic that comes up in almost every conversation with business owners.

AI image generation.

Most people think good AI images require design skill or "prompt engineering." They don't. The move is simpler: describe your business problem in plain English to ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, and let the AI write the image prompt for you. You know your business. The AI knows what the image tools want. Let each one do its job.

In this episode, Tim and I compare NanoBanana, ChatGPT, and Midjourney for small business marketing, cover who actually owns an AI image (and why you may not be able to copyright it), and then put the whole workflow to the test: we generated this episode's thumbnail live on air.

The exact meta-prompt I use is in the show notes at aiwithkai.com, copy-paste ready.

Wes Coody runs C2 Wealth Strategies in Mobile. Financial advisor, fully registered, broker-dealer oversight, compliance sign-off required on every AI tool before anyone on his team touches it.

Not exactly the Wild West of AI adoption.

His team stopped sending two advisors to every client meeting. Not because they cut staff. Because their AI note-taker started capturing more of the conversation than two humans ever did. They moved the trust from a second person to a tool.

Tax planning that used to run clients four to six thousand dollars is now accessible to everyday households because of tools Wes's firm already has running. Not a pilot program. Running now, in Mobile, at a regulated advisory shop.

Full episode is up. Wes walks through the whole stack, compliance reality included.

Want to know if AI is referring people to your business?

Here's a quick test, straight from this week's episode:

1. Go to ChatGPT or Claude. Ask it to list companies in your area that do what you do.
2. Then ask: "Where did you find that information?"
3. Read every source it cites. Some will be directories you've never heard of, with a profile about you that's flat wrong.

Go fix those profiles. That's where AI is forming opinions about your business.

Kai ran this on himself and found a "Built In Houston" directory listing him for services he doesn't offer.

Episode 10 is live. Worth a listen.

Every week we hear the same question from business owners along the coast: where do I even start with AI?

Episode 10 was built around real answers. Folks from across the Gulf Coast sent in their questions: contractors, shop owners, anyone running a small operation and wondering if this stuff is actually worth their time. Kai and Tim answered them straight. Where to start, whether ChatGPT Plus is worth it, how to sound like yourself when you use AI, and whether your customers will notice.

The one we keep coming back to: what's the task that eats your Tuesday? That's usually the right place to start.

If you've got a question you wish someone would just answer plainly, drop it below. We're doing more of these.

"Everybody keeps telling me I need to use AI, but where do I even start?"

This week Tim and I opened the mailbag for the first time.

No guest, just real questions from people across the Gulf Coast trying to figure out AI for their businesses. We talked about the free vs. paid debate (if you're using this for business, pay for it), why AI keeps writing in a voice that sounds nothing like you, and whether your customers noticing you use AI is actually the problem you think it is.

Also: Tim built a pitch deck in Claude that turned out amazing, and I went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out how AI sees my own company online. Spoiler: the results were eye-opening.

New episode is up this morning. πŸŽ™οΈ

One of the most overlooked parts of getting AI to actually work in a company: the internal champion.

Not just top-down support. Someone on the team who believes in it and can bring people along when things get bumpy.

Quick tip from Kai on why this matters more than the tool you pick.

Many business owners make the same mistake when introducing AI: the...

New episode of AI with Kai is live.

This week I talked with Anne Dorman, a Fairhope realtor with a background I'd never heard before. She spent about fifteen years as a counselor and child-and-family therapist, then moved into real estate and realized it was secretly the same job: sitting with someone through the most stressful, highest-stakes decision of their life and helping them think clearly.

Real estate is getting reshaped by AI as fast as any industry, and Anne is not worried one bit:
"If my future competition is a robot, bring it on."
She's not anti-AI. She's using it to win back her life. The email follow-up that used to eat her mornings and evenings runs automatically now, so she can walk the dogs and read a book again. She leans on it to prioritize when decision fatigue hits, and to reword the tense, lawyer-adjacent emails that come with the job.

Her tip for any agent: when you ask AI to write a property description, tell it to skip the typical real-estate verbiage and train it on fair-housing red-flag words. "Short walk to the bay" can get you fined. You're still the human who checks the work.
Plus The Rundown: small-business owners say AI is more useful when they don't feel rushed, the "Great American AI Act" floats one national rulebook, Anthropic switched off models days after launch, and KPMG pulled a report full of AI-invented facts. And a Playbook on never walking into a meeting cold.

Most "change management" advice is theater.

Wills Moore has spent his career actually moving organizations, and his read is blunt: people don't resist change, they resist feeling steamrolled.

He joined me to talk about why growing companies get stuck working in the business instead of on the business, how to find the AI champion already inside your team, and why learning agility might be the most valuable thing you can build right now.

This episode is brought to you by Harris Vacations, helping families plan Gulf Coast getaways across Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Fort Morgan.
