Lost and Found Pets of Fairview, TN

Lost and Found Pets of Fairview, TN This page is for Lost and Found Pets of Fairview, TN (and neighboring areas). Have you lost or found a pet in the Fairview, TN (or neighboring) area(s)? TN.

This page was created to be a central location to quickly help reunite missing pets and their families in the Fairview, TN area. How do you post about a lost/found animal? Include a brief description, location (neighborhood/cross streets only) and the date the animal was lost/found. Please include a photo of the animal. Post directly to the page, keep in mind Facebook has a delay so you will not

always see your post right away. If you have a found animal please keep some pertinent details about the animal out of the picture and private. LEGAL PROOF of OWNERSHIP is required (and VITAL) from anyone claiming an animal. This insures that the pet is reunited with it's rightful owner(s). BE SURE that WCAC is CONTACTED and FOLLOW their MANDATORY instructions. Please follow up on your posts so that we will know to remove the posting when a pet has been reunited. This way we can keep the wall cleared for pets that still need to find their way back home. What do you do when you find/lose a pet?

1. Contact Williamson County Animal Control: 615-790-5590 ASAP. There are also links included in the Note Section of this page for their lost/found stray report forms that you can fill out online (and you can do it after hours if needed).

***NOTIFICATION TO WILLIAMSON COUNTY ANIMAL CENTER (or the animal control facility in the county found) is REQUIRED BY LAW in the great State of TN. ***

Animals are considered personal property in TN and WCAC is the LEGAL AUTHORITY in Williamson Co. It is ILLEGAL to keep, rehome, give away or sell ANY FOUND ANIMAL. Animal Control MUST be NOTIFIED and their instructions FOLLOWED. We also recommend notification to Animal Control and Humane Association facilities in ALL surrounding area counties. Animals can/do travel long distances in a short time and/or they can easily be displaced out of the area by human intervention.

2. Make a post here!

3. Contact local vets offices as soon as possible. Fairview Animal Clinic: 615-799-2118
White Oak Animal Clinic: 615-799-7981

4. If FOUND: Have the animal checked at both vets office for a microchip. One or the other may recognize the animal. If LOST: Be sure to notify the microchip company ASAP that the animal is lost so they can flag your account. Be sure to make sure your contact info is correct/up to date.

5 Make easy to read SIGNS and post in easy to read locations (like 4-way stops)! Not everyone has internet access or is on social media. This is a vital step that cannot be stressed enough. SIGNS get SIGHTINGS! Be sure to check with the local Codes Dept. to make sure your signs are in compliance with local requirements prior to placement.

7. Create a lost/found animal flyer at HelpingLostPets.com and/or Lostmydoggie.com. These are great for direct distribution but are NOT effective tools for the side of the road.

6. Tell everyone you see that walks (with or without an animal) in your subdivision. Also, tell your postal carrier, ups/fed ex carrier, the more people you have looking, the better! Hand out those flyers!!

7. SHARE this page/posts with others. The more people we can get involved on this page, to make it a central location for our lost/found animals, the sooner we can reunite them with their families. Also, please remember that it will take a finder and an owner time to implement these tips Please give them time find each other! As always, if you need any additional help, please contact us! We are here to help in any way we can. And last, a big THANK YOU to our local rescuers and page followers/participants. The View is chock full of animal lovers. Thank you all for your big hearts and open homes and for making our part of the world a better place! Disclaimer: This page is not affiliated with any animal control/humane association facility. 🚨 Stray Alert x5! 🚨
Five more dogs have checked into our shelter — and unfortunately, not a single one was wearing tags or microchipped. (Come on, man… help us help them get home next time!)
Here’s where they were found:

Large black dog — near the 100 block of Flintlock Rd, Franklin

Small brown & white dog — near the 7900 block of Old Pinewood / Daughtry Capley Rd, Bon Aqua

Two large dogs (brown and white & the Rottweiler)— near the 7100 block of Grammar Dr, Fairview

Small gray & white dog — near the Reddick Street Senior Center Apts, Franklin
Our kennels are officially full — the last stray just took our last open space.

If you recognize any of these dogs, please call us or reclaim after 10am Tuesday at (615) 790-5590 x3400.

Fairview why are we losing our dogs?
They need to be chipped and rabies tagged. Dogs need to be on a leash when you’re taking them out or in a fenced in yard.
