Wild Horses RV Adventures Our Facebook site where we share our videos of our adventures traveling throughout the United States.... and maybe beyond someday. Ha.

We have always been into horses. When I met Mike I had a beautiful buckskin named Tiffany. The first thing we did together was get him a horse so we could ride together. We took our horse trailer to 1000 Acres in upstate NY, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and all over. Our boat was named Wild Horses. We've traveled all over by boat, then by 5th wheel for 12 years, a horse trailer w/living quarters for 6

years and now by Class A motorhome called, you guessed it: Wild Horses. I tried selling cups and pillows on this site originally & between fees to Shopify & Printful I made no money at all. So I'm using this site to encourage others to check out my YouTube channel and get ideas of places to travel to. I've got to use my creative energy for good. It gives me a sense of peace. I love being a content creator where I can inspire others to travel and explore this beautiful country of ours.

The “One Weekend” RV Repair That Took a Month

What was supposed to be a quick weekend RV repair turned into a full month of troubleshooting, weather delays, and unexpected twists! In this episode of Wild Horses RV Adventures, we tackle a leaking water system in our Tiffin motorhome that started with a simple inline water pump strainer replacement — and quickly snowballed into replacing the water pump itself. (Episode 174)

Along the way, we share real RV owner problem-solving, helpful tips we learned from fellow RVers on YouTube, and a surprisingly useful trick for removing a stubborn Tiffin wet bay water filter. Between an ice storm, freezing north Texas winds, and a detour to the Houston RV Show, this repair tested our patience and reminded us that even experienced RVers become beginners with every new rig.

If you’re dealing with RV water pump issues, priming problems, wet bay maintenance, or DIY RV repairs, this episode shows the honest reality behind motorhome ownership — the wins, the setbacks, and the humor that keeps us going.

Traveling with Cats? This Stealth Litter Box Changes Everything

Traveling with cats in an RV, boat, or horse trailer living quarters comes with one big question: where do you put the litter box? In this video, we’re sharing our DIY “kitty litter stealth box” — a hidden litter box disguised as an ottoman that blends perfectly into small living spaces. (Episode 173)

This design has traveled with us through multiple rigs, starting in our 35-foot Cruiser Yacht, then moving into our horse trailer with living quarters, and now in our motorhome. After years of use (and one determined cat sharpening his claws on the corner!), it was time for a facelift — so we’re recovering and refreshing it while showing how simple it is to build.

No advanced woodworking skills required. The wood was cut at Home Depot, then glued and nailed together into a sturdy box strong enough to double as a step stool. This is a practical DIY solution for RV cat owners, boaters, van lifers, and anyone living or traveling in small spaces with pets.

If you’re looking for RV cat hacks, hidden litter box ideas, or pet-friendly travel solutions, this project may be exactly what you need.

This RV Travel Day Looked Easy — Until the Miles Added Up

Travel day from Falcon State Park meant one thing — a long haul home. In this episode of Wild Horses RV Adventures, we pack up and begin one of our longest RV travel days yet, heading north after spending time at Falcon State Park in far South Texas. (Episode 169)

The weather was beautiful, the drive was smooth, and the views were wide open — but being this far south means every mile counts. With hours on the road, fuel stops, and the usual rhythm of RV travel days, this journey reminded us just how big Texas really is. Sometimes RV life isn’t about dramatic moments — it’s about steady miles, good weather, and knowing when it’s time to point the rig toward home.

We share what a realistic long-distance RV travel day looks like, how we pace ourselves, and why planning matters when you’re starting from the southern tip of the state. If you’re curious about full-time or part-time RV life, long travel days, or traveling through remote areas of Texas, this episode gives you a true look at life on the road.

We spent Valentine’s Day exploring the Houston RV Show to see what’s new in the world of motorhomes — and wow, there was a LOT to take in! From luxury interiors and innovative layouts to a few surprising design choices, we toured dozens of new RVs to see how today’s models compare to the motorhome we currently travel in.

In this video, we share our honest reactions as experienced RVers with over 20 years on the road. We talk about what impressed us, what didn’t make sense, and whether upgrading to a brand-new motorhome is really worth the cost in today’s RV market. With rising prices and changing features, buying a new RV isn’t as simple as it used to be.

By the end of the show, we had a clear answer about whether we would trade in our current rig — and the decision might surprise you. If you’re considering buying a Class A or Class C motorhome, attending an RV show, or wondering if newer RVs are actually better, this video will help you decide.

A Winter Storm is moving into Texas, and while we’re just on the edge of the ice portion of the storm, freezing temperatures are firmly in the forecast. With our sticks-and-bricks home prone to power outages — which means no heat — we decide it’s time to make a smart, proactive move. (Episode 170)

In this episode, we explain why we high-tail it to the motorhome as temperatures drop. The RV gives us something our house can’t during winter storms: backup systems. With a full tank of propane, a generator, and fuel to run it, the motorhome becomes our safest and warmest option if the power goes out. Most importantly, it allows us to keep ourselves and our pets comfortable and protected.

As forecasts call for freezing rain, temperatures dropping into the mid-20s and then the teens, we share how years of living through harsh winters in northern New Jersey shaped our decision-making. Ice on roads and power lines can be more dangerous than snow, and preparation is key.

This episode is about choosing safety, staying flexible, and using your RV as more than just a travel tool — sometimes it’s your best shelter.

We wound up with freezing rain, thunderstorms and freezing temperatures. So far, I haven't got any alerts about power outages at home. We're safe and warm at our motorhome at the ranch where we board our horse.
Fun fact: our lithium battery isn't charging, it's too cold. Who knew that if you live in southeast Texas we should have bought a 'heated' lithium battery. 🤔
Hope everyone is warm & safe!

Just blanketed our horse so when the temps drop, with wind and freezing rain he will be warm & dry. Keeping the heat on in the RV!
Stay safe & warm everyone!

Christmas on the Texas Gulf Coast turned out to be exactly what we didn’t know we needed. In this episode, we continue our RV Christmas adventure in Texas, soaking up coastal views, mild winter weather, and the simple joy of slowing down during the holidays.
As we enjoy our final days along the Gulf Coast, we start realizing something unexpected: we don’t want to go home just yet. With a cold front and freezing temperatures moving in back home, we begin looking at maps, checking availability, and quietly asking ourselves… what if we keep going?

Christmas on the Texas Gulf Coast in Our RV

Spending Christmas on the road doesn’t have to mean stress — sometimes it means peace, flexibility, and a whole new perspective. In this episode of Wild Horses RV Adventures, we spend Christmas week RV camping along the Texas Gulf Coast, trading cold weather and crowded schedules for coastal views, mild temperatures, and slow, intentional days.

After a great week in Rockport, we went farther south to escape the cold spell that showed up today. It's going down to 47 tonight here but at home it's going down to 30 degrees. By the time we go back home it'll be normal temps again. That's the plan! Happy New Year everyone!

In this festive RV-life episode, I’m decorating our motorhome for the holidays — proof that you don’t need a big space to create big cheer! I’m bringing out cozy red buffalo-plaid sheets, our fuzzy winter comforter, and a tiny Christmas tree decorated with ornaments collected from our travels. I’ve also recycled some decorations from my very first apartment — because holiday magic doesn’t have to come from a store.

Plus, I’m crafting mini stockings for our tiny RV fireplace and offering the printable PDF pattern FREE on our website so you can make your own. Whether you’re in an RV, an apartment, or just love creative, budget-friendly seasonal décor, this episode will give you easy ideas to make your space warm and festive.

I’ll show the bedroom, kitchen, living area, and bathroom décor — all simple touches that work in small spaces. From cat-proof tablecloth tricks to LED “candlelight,” it’s all about joy, coziness, and making the most of what you already have.

Join me for a cheerful, crafty holiday day in the RV — and maybe get inspired to deck your own tiny halls!
