THOUGHT FOR TODAY - DO YOU KNOW YOU ARE LOVED?
DO YOU KNOW THE VALUE GOD PLACES ON YOUR LIFE?
There are many Scriptures that highlight God's great love for you through Jesus Christ. Here are several key passages that emphasize God’s love for you!
1. **John 3:16**
*“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”*
This is one of the most well-known verses, showing God’s sacrificial love in sending Jesus to offer eternal life.
2. **Romans 5:8**
*“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”*
This verse highlights God's unconditional love, shown even when humanity was separated from Him due to sin.
3. **Ephesians 2:4-5**
*“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.”*
This passage emphasizes how God's love, combined with His mercy, brings spiritual renewal and salvation.
4. **Romans 8:37-39**
*“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”*
These verses assure us of the inseparable love of God in Christ, no matter what circumstances we face.
5. **1 John 4:9-10**
*“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”*
Here, God’s love is defined by His action in sending Jesus to reconcile us to Himself.
6. **Titus 3:4-5**
*“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.”*
This passage points to God’s love and mercy as the driving force behind our salvation through Christ.
7. **2 Corinthians 5:14-15**
*“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.”*
The love of Christ motivates believers to live for Him, having been reconciled through His death and resurrection.
These Scriptures, among many others, show the depth of God's love through Jesus Christ—love that is sacrificial, unconditional, and transformative for those who trust in Him.
8. **John 15:13**
*“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”*
Jesus speaks of His ultimate sacrifice, revealing the greatest expression of love—laying down His life for humanity.
9. **1 John 3:16**
*“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.”*
This verse ties the demonstration of God's love directly to Christ’s sacrifice, setting the model for believers.
10. **Romans 8:32**
*“He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”*
This verse speaks to the generous nature of God’s love, given through the gift of His Son, Jesus, and assures us of God’s provision.
11. **Ephesians 3:17-19**
*“So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”*
Paul prays for believers to fully understand and experience the immense love of Christ, which surpasses human understanding.
12. **Philippians 2:6-8**
*“Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!”*
These verses show the humility and sacrificial nature of Christ’s love, as He humbled Himself to save humanity.
13. **Colossians 1:13-14**
*“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”*
God’s love is demonstrated in Christ’s work of redemption, rescuing us from sin and transferring us into His kingdom.
14. **1 Timothy 1:15**
*“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.”*
Paul reflects on Christ’s mission of love—coming to save even the most lost and sinful, showing the extent of God’s mercy and love.
15. **Hebrews 12:2**
*“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”*
Jesus' sacrificial love is shown in His endurance of the cross, motivated by the joy of fulfilling God’s redemptive plan for humanity.
16. **Revelation 1:5**
*“To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood...”*
This verse reflects on Christ’s ongoing love for believers, demonstrated through His blood that cleanses us from sin.
17. **Romans 8:28**
*“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”*
While not directly about Christ's love, this passage reassures believers that God’s love works all things for good in Christ.
18. **1 Corinthians 13:4-7**
*“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. While primarily describing love in general, these qualities of love can also be seen as exemplified perfectly in the life and actions of Jesus Christ.
These Scriptures paint a rich picture of God’s love in Christ—both in the sacrifice Jesus made and in the transformative power that love has in the our lives.

Romans 10:9-10 NKJV — that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
