I’m still grateful for the rooms God allows me to walk into!
Monday, I had the opportunity to attend a Sesame Street Workshop focused on supporting children and families through difficult and traumatic experiences.
And I walked away with SO MUCH to think about!
One thing that continues to stay with me is this: sometimes the behavior we see in a child is only the part of the story we can see.
Behind that behavior may be a BIG feeling they don’t know how to name, communicate, or manage yet.
As adults who lead, teach, parent, and care for children, we have an opportunity to help them build the language and tools they need to understand what they’re feeling and what to do with those feelings.
That matters in our homes.
It matters in our classrooms.
And it absolutely matters in our churches.
