My passion for food media began the first time I tossed pizza live on FOX 6 Morning News in Birmingham, Alabama. That moment sparked a journey that has led to countless rewarding experiences in both culinary arts and media. I spent two y

ears hosting Cooking Today on KNWA, where our team earned the Arkansas Broadcasters Association Award. Following that, I hosted Cook with Brooks for one season on Arkansas PBS, a statewide series focused on regional ingredients and food stories. Across these projects, I’ve produced and hosted over 300 local and regional television shows. In addition to television, I co-hosted the podcast Soul Men of the High South (SMHS) with Case Dighero, exploring the edible culture of the High South through storytelling and conversation. Alongside my media work, I’ve served as an Executive Chef and culinary instructor in various restaurants and country clubs. I spent three years as a Culinary Instructor at Brightwater: A Center for the Study of Food, and ten years as Corporate Executive Chef for Tankersley Food Service. Today, I am the Owner and Executive Chef of Chef Brooks Catering LLC, where I continue to combine my love of food and storytelling.
