June has given me rest.

Not the kind that comes from doing nothing.

The kind that creates room for what matters.

🩷 Less posting.
🩷 More presence.

🩷 Less rushing.
🩷 More room for living.

More afternoons with my Kiddies.

More time enjoying what is instead of constantly focusing on what's next.

And maybe most importantly, more rest.

Not just physical rest.

🩷 Mental rest.

🩷 Emotional rest.

🩷 Spiritual rest.

I think sometimes God knows exactly when we need that.

And I feel like He's given me that this month.

And for that — and for the memories being made during it — I'm grateful.

Sometimes there is value in the space between things.

And that's what June has been teaching me.

🌻 Last night’s THE GOLDEN HOUR: A DWS SILENT DANCE EXPERIENCE by Dancing Without Sin Fitness . . .

🎧 Guests could choose between different headphone stations with completely different music vibes.

🎵 One station was more upbeat line dance/music-you-gotta-move energy — which everybody knows was absolutely Stephanie’s lane!

🎶 The other station leaned more smooth R&B vibes… and somehow Alicia Keys being the first thing I heard when I switched over felt perfectly on brand for me.

😆 And the funniest part was watching the room from the outside.

🤭 You’d see one whole section dancing together in sync to the blue station while scattered people on the red station were in their own little R&B world just vibing completely differently!

🥰 Meanwhile other guests skipped the headphones altogether, grabbed vibe tickets, and simply enjoyed the atmosphere, conversations, food, music, and company around them.

💛 This was one of those events where you could genuinely feel people relaxing, connecting, laughing, dancing, and simply enjoying themselves.

🩷 Motherhood does not always unfold the way we imagined it would.

Sometimes it changes.
Sometimes it stretches us.
Sometimes it asks us to find new rhythms while still holding on to love, hope, and healing at the same time.

Yesterday, I shared a more personal reflection on the mothers people do not always think about… including the mother I thought I would be.

This one is for the mothers navigating changing seasons with grace the best way they can.

🩷 This morning was one of those reminders that community still matters.

OHOP Apparel hosted its 8th Annual Mom & Me Breakfast for nominated single moms and their littles, and the entire morning was filled with intention, kindness, and genuine care.

🥰 Shout out to my sister-friend Stephanie Kegler for having me as her +1!

✔️ Good food from Chick-fil-A
✔️ Thoughtful gifts
✔️ Amazing raffle prizes
✔️ A room full of moms who could finally sit down, breathe, laugh, and just enjoy the moment

☕ And honestly? Even not winning a raffle didn’t matter because seeing the excitement on the faces of the moms who did was part of the joy too 😅

💭 But what stood out most to me was this:

You can always tell when someone’s heart for community is real.

🚐 And if you’ve ever seen the OHop van around town, then you already know Ray pours into this city consistently. Today I got to meet his mom for the first time, and whew… it immediately made sense where that heart comes from.

💌 The kindness.
💌 The warmth.
💌 The way they love on people.

It’s the same.

📱 And listen… Ray even dropped a social media gem this morning that had me over there saying “amen” in the background 😅

He said:
“Get in front of the camera. Stop being scared to get in front of the camera. People want to see YOUR face.”

And whew… if y’all know me, then you know that’s something I preach all the time too.

People connect with people.

Not just flyers.
Not just products.
Not just perfectly curated posts.

👀 Ray… at this point we might need to tag-team a workshop one day because you were absolutely telling the truth this morning.

👏🏽 So next time you see OHOP Apparel doing something for the community, support it.

Because supporting the people who intentionally show up for others? Yeah… that matters too.

Whew… hey y’all.

Proof of life.

🩷 I’m still here!

Life has definitely been life-ing over here, but in the best kind of way.

😉 And if I’m being real for a second…

I’m always talking about staying present — not just building, not just doing, but actually being in the moment.

And sometimes?

🫣 I get so locked in on showing up for my clients and my community that I have to remind myself to slow down and show up for me too.

🤷🏽‍♀️ Yep, happens to me too.

I looked up and realized I hadn’t posted since April 12 and was like… oh. Okay. Let me come check in with Lovies.

The second half of April?

🥰 Full. In all the ways.

💞 Supporting Money Box Academy Inc. during the City of Fayetteville, NC Government Financial Literacy Month proclamation — yeah, that was a moment

And somewhere in between all of that… I’ve been quietly prepping for what’s next.

🤭 And then I looked up again and realized… oh. May is already in session!
