It's a sad day today. My sweet girl, Matilda passed away today. I came home from work at 1:00 and she was sitting out in the middle of the yard which she hardly ever does. I went to go sit down next to her and gave her some love. Her comb was getting lighter and lighter so I knew she was going to pass away. I just kept telling her I love her so much and thank you for being such a good friend. I know in the last month she's been slowing down a bit so I'm thinking it's old age. I got her last year from one of my patients that came in and said that her two flock mates got taken by raccoon so I took her so she didn't have to be alone. It's never easy to lose one, especially when you think what could have I done differently. I love you sweet girl and fly high with Hope now.
