❤️🩹 this was such a difficult experience for everyone in our family, yet we want to share how we have all grown from it, and that we feel so blessed to be safe and healthy..
in December we had someone pull out in front of us while driving, i turned just enough to miss the head on collision and several poles on the corner, but putting us in a front yard where luckily a truck was parked, stopping us from driving into a house.. it's humbling to see how protected we were when this could have been so much worse.. physically we were safe but emotionally this would be a moment that sticks.. the kids have been a lot more nervous around the house not wanting to be alone, fearing noises or the unknown, it's been hard to see, Adley described it to me as "now i understand that bad things like that or anything, can happen to us" it's been hard to see that grow up moment hit all our kids so heavily.. however, this is the balance that has also brought us together more than ever, our love and appreciation for eachother, our health, safety, and so much more has been amplified beyond what we could have ever imagined, we have watched our kids value the small things like remembering prayers or snuggling eachother to sleep, there is a deeper meaning for them behind prayer, going to church, an wearing a seatbelt.. as parents it's been an emotional rollercoaster but as we focus the good, we see our family growth, and we feel so grateful.. thank you to all those on site who offered help and bluey blankets for the kids, thank you to my parents for being there right away, and thanks to YOU for all the love, support, messages, and encouraging comments shared.. we plan to keep making each Day the Best Ever and hope each of you can try to do the same 🫂
