Somewhat less humid moves into the region Friday across Florence and the P*e Dee. That drier air will eliminate rain chances for a change. Afternoon highs top between 85 and 88 degrees.

Thursday will once again feature muggy conditions with periods of clouds. A frontal boundary moves into the region later the day, and some showers and thunderstorms will develop along it. Pockets of heavy downpours will be possible. Any storm could contain vivid lightning and locally gusty winds. The best chance of those storms will likely come between 3pm and 11pm.

Question marks remain for the weekend forecast. A stationary boundary will be in the vicinity for the first part of the weekend. The placement of that boundary will be quite important in determining rain chances. We will likely see some scattered showers and thunderstorms Saturday.

The boundary moves to the south by Sunday. Less humid should arrive and that would mean most of the day would be dry. Clouds will likely stick around at times throughout the weekend.

The weather forecast will be skipping along on repeat the next few days as the overall weather pattern won't change much until we get to the weekend. The muggy conditions persist on Wednesday with scattered thunderstorms in the area. Highs will top out near 90.

A cold front this weekend will eventually bring less humid conditions along with lower temperatures by Sunday!
