I was not prepared for Valor to lose his very first tooth at only 6 months old. 🤍

He was crying in his swing, and I honestly thought he was just being fussy or tired. When I went to pick him up for a nap, there was a tiny little tooth laying on his chest. My heart dropped. I picked him up, rocked him, and cried right along with him.

I never realized losing teeth this early could happen with cleft babies. It just wasn’t something I had ever thought about before. In that moment, I was scared… but while I was crying, this sweet boy started smiling at me like everything was okay. And you know what? He is okay.

I’m so thankful he didn’t swallow it and so reminded of how resilient these little warriors truly are. Watching Valor navigate things most babies never have to face has taught me so much about strength, perspective, and gratitude. 💙

Raising a global citizen starts on day one! 🌎✨ It’s so important to us that Valor grows up appreciating the beautiful "melting pot" we live in. By exposing our children to different cultures early on, we teach them to lead with respect, curiosity, and friendship for everyone they meet.
We had the best time celebrating Valor’s very first Cinco de Mayo! 🇲🇽 From the vibrant folklorico dancers to the bustling restaurant atmosphere, he took it all in... until he didn’t. 😂 Only Valor could find the peace to nap in the middle of a loud Mexican restaurant! 🌮🌯
