As most people are against the current proposed voucher system for Texas schools that Keith Bell is pushing for in Austin, it's important to remember who supports who.
Candidate Becky Dobbs has been on the school board for almost two decades. Every time she has run, Keith Bell has supported her, and he's supported her husband in his political endeavors many times as well.
Candidate Lori Brakhage worked with Chris Andrews, who was voted out in the last election, at Austin Construction and is now running for the place he formerly had. Lori's husband works for Crossland Construction as the divisional manager, which builds schools around Texas regularly. The electrical contractor listed for many of these school projects is Intex Electrical, the company Keith Bell owns and operates, profiting off of Texas ISDs.
So when you go to the polls, remember that the definition of insanity is repeating the same thing but expecting different results. It's time for accountability and to want something better for our children and families than the past decades of corruption.
