My first post since, what seems like, forever-so long ago –
Much has changed since then. Some good. Some bad. Some unexpected. But living in the past is a real drag, so this post is about moving forward with a positive attitude.
One major change is am finally going to be able to travel while teaching remotely, as I originally planned to do when I first moved to Colorado in 2010. I have been teaching remotely since then, but I have not been traveling. Colorado will still be my home base, but I hope to get a couple of small plots of land here and there around the country where I can park my RV, have fun adventures with my dogs and write stories.

But for now, my one plot of land where I will park my RV when not traveling is just outside of Fort Garland, Colorado.
Here are some pictures of the 5 acres of land I recently purchased outside of Fort Garland, CO. It is very raw. And it has very much potential. Again, moving forward positively, I think I have picked the building site. The land slope at the front and at the back with a nice level area in the middle. But I will have to take a bit of time figuring out the motorcycle, and gravel bike, training areas. The 1 mile of dirt road you must navigate from US 160 to the plot has some steep, wash-boarded, sections. So, it will just be good practice getting to and from home.
So, where will I travel first? I do not yet know. I first need to get my address updated from TBD Mauro Road.

Here are two motorcycles that are also inspiring me to travel with my dogs and write stories. George first learned to ride on the ’77 R100 and was on the cover of Rider Magazine riding on a ’17 R1200 GS.
