✨ Book Review: Holly’s Jolly Christmas by .alves_author

✨I went into this thinking I’d get a cute, cozy holiday rom-com… and of course I ended up laughing so much. I’ve read several of Stephanie’s books and they’re always fun to read! If you’re craving something festive, flirty, and full of that warm Christmas movie magic, this one’s your new holiday treat.

Holly’s night is already a disaster after being stood up but then there’s Mark, the broody bartender, holiday scrooge but secretly a cinnamon roll… he ends up giving her dating advice…. One drunken request spirals into a series of events that brings the “Oh no… I’m catching feelings.” Love the chemistry, the banter, and the emotional tension!

Holly is lovable and chaotic in the best way, Mark is grumpy with a golden center, and watching them accidentally fall for each other had me rooting for them.

I try to add some here and there! I recently went on a cabin retreat with my hubby’s family and I took a couple of books, one of them was Slay Ride by Lauren Biel. It felt so good to just read and relax! Check out my review below, if you love dark romance with laughs.. this is for you!💞

📖 Cabin Getaway book Review: Slay Ride by Lauren Biel 🏔️💀✨

Slay Ride was an absolute blast. This series just keeps getting more unhinged in the BEST possible way and I loved every second. Bennett and Cat were seriously the definition of chaotic hate-chemistry, and it definitely kept me hooked!

Bennett is a grumpy, broody disaster of a man…broke, blacklisted, and desperate to find his missing sister. The last place he wants to be is a winter retreat in Alaska. The only thing worse? Being stuck there with Catarina Novak, the sunshiney menace who gets under his skin like no one else. 😤🔥

Cat just wants to hang with her bestie, unwind, and maybe finally get her first kǐll. But when Bennett shows up with his ridiculously handsome smirk, he instantly makes it his mission to ruin her fun. Their back-and-forth is SO funny and so filled with tension that you just know something’s going to explode.

And then they get lost in the woods overnight… 😉🌲🔥

The Alaskan setting adds the perfect mix of cozy and dëadly. The slow burn, the banter, the forced proximity, the “touch her and ☠️” vibes, I was giggling so much while reading.

What was the last book you recommended? 💛✨

I just finished THANKFUL IN THISTLE COUNTY by Christine Miles, and I enjoyed it! This story put me right in the perfect cozy mood for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. 🍂🧡 From the mountain setting to the tension to the heartfelt moments, this story gave me all the warm, emotional, holiday-movie feels.

Eliza and Richard’s dynamic hooked me instantly! She’s an influencer whose life is different to the silver-fox widower still finding his footing. The unexpected chemistry, real-life pressures, and a Thanksgiving gathering just made it super enjoyable! And if you love holiday movies this has a twist of Christmas in Connecticut! 🦃✨

🪵 where was the last place you vacationed at?

🌲We’re away at a beautiful “cabin” more like a huge cabin mansion for my mother in laws birthday. She had all the family meet up here to spend time together and just relax. This is the living room.. love it! 😍
