The 20 Minute Call Podcast has brought me immense joy, and I'm always grateful (and pleasantly surprised) when I receive messages from those who enjoy the program. THANK YOU!

While skydiving is the common thread that brings this podcast together, it's truly about the human experience of driven individuals. Here are some quick takeaways from my recent interviewees and why they mean so much to me:

Tomorrow’s guest is a standout figure in the skydiving world. Becca Farewell, with over 7,000 jumps and 11 years of experience, has served as a tandem instructor, AFF Instructor, and videographer at notable locations including GoJump Oceanside, Skydive Elsinore and Skydive Perris.

Renowned for her vibrant energy and dedication as a teacher, Becca's life took a dramatic turn in July 2021 when a hard landing resulted in quadriplegia. Undeterred, she continues to inspire through her rehabilitation journey, engaging in activities like wind tunnel flying, tandem skydiving, tetra skiing, and even comedy.

Although she no longer skydives actively, Becca's legacy and influence in the community remain profoundly impactful.

I'm very proud to share this week's episode of The 20 Minute Call Podcast. Skydive Carolina's DZO, Danny Smith is a close personal friend and my former employer for nine years.

We went through some adventures together that only strengthened our bond. I'm not sure where I would be today or what I would be doing if it wasn't for Danny.

When I needed a lifeline, he gave me an opportunity that allowed me to gain visa sponsorship to stay in the US. I am forever grateful for this friendship and the life I've been able to lead because of his faith and trust in me.

Danny has operated Skydive Carolina for 38 years and you'll find him at the DZ every week. I was just down at the DZ visiting this past Saturday and I commended him on how clean and well-maintained everything was. His reply - "It's a continuous work in progress." This mindset is what has allowed Skydive Carolina to be so consistent in its service for all these years.

Lastly, Danny is a true gentleman and a skydiver through and through - he loves the sport and the community.

I shared this particular clip as Danny's most proud jump was landing on the USS Yorktown in Charleston, SC. He's had an amazing career that continues on today.
