Dekalb County Daily News

Dekalb County Daily News WFPA 1400 AM was first put on the air in 1949 by Robert Johnson. Like most local 1,000 watt AM stations it struggled in recent years.

Dekalb County Community Broadcasting was proud to own it in the early 2000's. We're getting the band back together.

So I (Kasey) kinda dropped the ball this year and let October sneak up on me! Between getting all the things ready for the season and my youngest playing ball it just snuck up on me! However we have had some people reach out about setting up for “Market at the Maze” We would love to have vendors from all over! We realize it’s last minute but it’s a great opportunity! Please email or text Kasey for more information! Below are a few things about the Market!
🎃We only allow one vendor for a specific product, meaning you won’t be in competition with others with the same product!
🎃It is $30 per day or $50 for the weekend
🎃You can stay as long or as little as you like! Our hours on Saturdays are 10am-11pm and Sundays 1-9
🎃We don’t allow anyone to sell any products that we sell examples: hot cider, hot dogs, nachos, and a few other items.
🎃You can bring tables or a tent to set up and we have limited access to power
Again this is a wonderful opportunity to get your name known!! Text or email Kasey to get your name on the books!

DRY DAYS: Very warm and mostly dry weather continues across Alabama through Wednesday. Highs in the 85-90 degree range; any afternoon showers very isolated. Heat levels will fall later in the week thanks to a northerly flow; by Friday morning many North Alabama communities will drop into the 50s, with highs around 80 degrees. South Alabama will still see highs in the mid 80s.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: For most of Alabama, showers will be far and far between Saturday and Sunday with highs in the low to mid 80s. However, a weak surface trough in the northern Gulf could bring some rain to the coast at times. Not a wash-out at all, but a few periods of rain are possible both days across Mobile and Baldwin counties.

Not much change in the calm pattern next week. Mostly dry with highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s... keep in mind October is our driest month of the year.
