Who loves cornbread that could almost pass for dessert? šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļøšŸÆšŸŒ½

Iā€™ve been making this cornbread for over 10 years, and itā€™s the recipe Iā€™m asked for more than any other.

Itā€™s sweet, moist, and somewhere between cornbread and cakeā€¦ definitely closer to cake. šŸ˜œ

Happy Fatherā€™s Day to our favorite person, my best friend, the best dad. ā¤ļø

Caleb, God sure knew what He was doing when we met that hot August day. He sure knew what He was doing as He was sharpening and preparing you to take on a role you never dreamed youā€™d take.

There arenā€™t many men in this world that could (or would) whole-heartedly take on eleven sons and then welcome one more, but you do it with so much joy. There arenā€™t many men who talk the talk and walk the walk, but you consider your role as spiritual leader of our home to be the most important thing. Somehow, some way, in only a way that God could do, He perfectly prepared you to love us and lead us so well.

Every day, you wake up and show up with the greatest joy and determination, always with the most important things in mind, always with integrity, always making us more important than yourself. You are an amazing example to our children, the most honorable man, and the greatest joy. I still canā€™t believe I get to do this life with you, babe, and Iā€™m so very grateful to God for the honor of being your wife.

HELP US DECIDE!

The DIWD Crew is hoping to squeeze in one more family adventure before summer slips away, and weā€™re dreaming of a beach trip in the next few weeks.

So hereā€™s the big questionā€¦

Orange Beach, Alabama?
OR
Floridaā€™s Gulf Coast?

Weā€™ve been hearing a lot of great things about Cape San Blas lately, but weā€™ve never been there. Is it really as amazing as everyone says? Or would you choose Orange Beach instead?

And speaking of sizeā€¦ finding a place for a crew our size is no small task. šŸ˜… Every time we start searching, it feels like we either find the perfect beach or a house big enough for everyoneā€¦ but rarely both!

Do any of you know of a great beachfront or beach-access house that can comfortably handle a large family? Maybe youā€™ve stayed somewhere amazing, know a property owner, or even have a place of your own.

Weā€™re still trying to figure out where weā€™re going, so weā€™d love your recommendations before we lock anything in.

Meanwhile, Caleb is over here preparing for wood stove season. šŸ”„šŸ˜…

Weā€™re getting a wood stove installed soon, which means demo, dust, power tools, and Caleb being in his happy place. He also just got five new chainsā€¦ so when heā€™s not doing demo in the house, heā€™s probably cutting firewood. šŸŖµ
