"Sweetie" is our latest "Pet of the Week" sponsored by Best Friends Pet Clinic. 🥰

Sweetie certainly lives up to her name. She is a very sweet, submissive girl who loves people, and loves other dogs WHO DON'T JUMP UP ON HER.

Sweetie is:

* about 65 lbs.
* spayed.
* heartworm negative.
* a Black Labrador Retriever mixed breed.
* about 2 years old.

She's now been at the animal shelter for almost 9 months and is in need of a loving home. 😢

Kids from Mountainburg, Paris, Alma & Mulberry benefit from the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Diamond Hills in Alma.

They need your help to support their programs.

Join us Thursday, July 9, at 6:00 p.m. as the City of Fort Smith officially designates a portion of North 23rd Street, adjacent to Northside High School, as “Jaylin Williams Court.” The event celebrates Williams’ journey from Northside High School to the University of Arkansas and into the NBA with the Oklahoma City Thunder, as well as the pride he continues to bring to Fort Smith through his leadership and community impact.

City officials, community leaders, family, and fans are invited to attend and be part of this special hometown tribute.

🎆Fireworks are terrifying to many pets, causing them to panic and escape.

In fact, July 5th is usually the busiest day of the year for animal shelters due to runaway pets.

The best place for your pet is inside a safe room/crate with music/tv playing to cover the sounds. Close curtains so they can't see the loud flashes.

No matter if your pet is inside or outside, please put their collar on and write your phone number on the collar.
