Kicking us off today is a local non-profit doing absolute wonders in our community: Of A Sound Mind Inc.

Founded by Symone Lashae, this amazing Connecticut organization is actively breaking down barriers and shattering mental health stigmas. What makes their work so impactful is how they approach healing. Combining faith, peer support, and compassionate care to make sure no one in our community has to walk their journey alone.

I recently met Symone at a event and was really moved by her story and her “why”.

Is Sesame Place worth the drive from CT? 🚙🤔Short answer: 100% YES.

We packed up the crew and drove down for the ultimate 4 day road trip. We used the Sesame Place “Buy 2 Nights, Get 1 Free” hotel package, and honestly… worth every single mile. 🙌

If you’re a CT family looking for the perfect long weekend itinerary, save this post! Here is everything we squeezed in:

🎡 Day 1: Kicked things off at American Dream Mall for the Sesame Street experience and Nickelodeon Universe!

✨ Day 2: ALL about Sesame Place. Rides, shows, the parade, and character meet and greets from open to close. Total magic for the kids.

💛 Day 3: Park round two (we even saw Emma Memma!), then crossed into NJ for Adventure Aquarium. The hippos absolutely stole the show!

🦁 Day 4: Wrapped up at the Philadelphia Zoo before heading home to Connecticut.

Tired? Absolutely. Worth it? Every single second.

LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THESE BURGERS!!🤯🍔

What if I told you some of the biggest, juiciest burgers in the state are coming straight from Connecticut Apizza royalty?

We had to pull up to to see if the hype was real, and let’s just say... they aren’t playing around.

Here is the breakdown:

The Sally’s Burger: Packed with flavor, loaded with fontina cheese, banana peppers, and onions. Heavy hitter.

The Cremini Gorgonzola Burger: This one straight up spoke to my soul. Pancetta jam + rosemary garlic mayo? I might have actually licked the plate clean. No regrets.

The Salads: Stacked. Because look, you need some greens to balance the heavy lifting, right?

The Pesto Chicken Pie: Had to finish strong with the apizza! Topped with asparagus and zucchini. Super nice, light bite for the summer.

Huge thank you to Sally’s for the invite and for one delicious evening!
