🔥🧖‍♂️ Did you know? Your body already has an incredible detox system—and while a sauna isn't a magic cleanse, research suggests it may help support that process in ways many people don't realize.

When you're exposed to the heat of a sauna, your body responds by increasing circulation, heart rate, and sweat production. Sweat is mostly water, but studies have shown it can also contain small amounts of heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, arsenic, and mercury, along with other trace compounds. Scientists continue to investigate the role sweating may play in eliminating certain environmental contaminants.

A 2022 review published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health reported that sweating can contribute to the excretion of some toxic elements, although the liver and kidneys remain the body's primary detoxification organs. Meanwhile, a large body of research—including studies from Finland—has linked regular sauna use with improvements in cardiovascular health, blood vessel function, recovery after exercise, and reduced all-cause mortality, making sauna bathing one of the most extensively studied wellness habits.

This doesn't mean you need expensive detox supplements. Supporting your body's natural detoxification systems often comes down to the basics: eating nutrient-rich foods, staying hydrated, exercising regularly, getting quality sleep, and keeping your liver and kidneys healthy.

💡 Try this: If your doctor says it's safe, enjoy a 15–20 minute sauna session a few times each week. Drink plenty of water before and afterward, and replace electrolytes if you've been sweating heavily. If you have heart disease, low blood pressure, or are pregnant, speak with your healthcare provider before using a sauna.

Sometimes the best moments happen between the shots. 📸

Had the opportunity to capture some behind-the-scenes shots for and this past weekend. Watching the vision come together, making adjustments, and creating with intention is always part of the story.

The final images are one thing—but the process is where the magic really happens.
