Here is the story
To everyone that’s asking. Here’s what happened. Hikaru dropped his phone in the current while trying to take a picture of the only fish that we got. He ran after it and slipped into the slow current. Trisharan offers his fishing rod to pull Hikaru out but he gets pulled instead. And I jumped in. Everything happened so fast. We got swept by the current and I ended up in the middle. Trish was on the left and Hikaru was on the right of me.
We all knew how to swim. I saw Trish was swimming toward the concrete on the left. But he was swimming against the current so he was moving nowhere. I swam toward Trish and lifted him up to beat the current. But realised that I was drowning while doing that. We all were wearing sneakers and I was wearing long sweat pants and they were wearing shorts. While I was drowning, I realised that my pants and shoes were too heavy so I took them off and I prayed a little. And I looked back at Hikaru and he was panicking and yelling for help. I was out of breath. Trish wasn’t in my sight anymore. Since I was lifting Trish up from behind him. I got pushed behind and the current wasn’t as strong anymore. I swam toward the concrete and asked God to help me out. Used my last strength and I got to the concrete. I looked back, they were nowhere to be found. I try to look for Trish’s phone, thinking he might have left it in the fish baits backpack. I couldn’t stand up for a while. But when I could, I couldn’t find Trish’s phone. He probably had it with him in his shorts. I left my phone in the car. I walk fast through the bush and rocks barefooted. I yelled for help. Reach the campers after about 10 mins. They helped me up and they called 911.
I remembered these images vividly. As you all see in school, you all know how much I am close with Trish, Hikaru, Darby, and Pum. They are my only close friends from school. Even though we had our own money we liked to pay for each other. Trish bought the fishing rods and I bought the bait and Hikaru bought us food. We went test corrections together, soccer practice together, to Mrs White together, Mr.Roger together, Mrs.Greenwood together, Mr.Klaus together, Mr.Holycross together, Mr.Dix together, Darby’s house together. We always help each other with homework and studies. Even though we weren’t so smart in school, we always got each other. Trish went to UNT, Hikaru went to UTA, I went to A&M. We were so proud of ourselves that we finished our freshman year in college. I always took care of Trish since sophomore year. We didn’t have many friends then. I hate it when people look down on us. That’s why I always stick by him and support him mentally and financially. It’s really hard for me to speak right now. I still can’t believe this. I am still shocked and stressed that’s why I couldn’t reply to all of the messages. Please give me some time. Please give me some time. I don’t want to feel better. I want to feel this. I can’t imagine what their families are going through right now. Please visit their families and send love to them. I’m so sorry. I’m truly sorry.
