hey there! If we haven't met yet β€” hi. We're Amy and Randy Nelson, co-founders of ExecLevel Wellness.

We're two real humans in our 50s and 60s, based in Fountain Hills, Arizona, who got tired of being told that feeling tired, soft, and slower was just "part of getting older."

So we did something about it. And then we built a system to help other driven adults over 50 do the same.

Here's what we hear most from the people who find us:

"I'm doing everything right. Eating well. Staying active. And my body just isn't responding the way it used to."

We believe them. Every time.

Because after 10 years of coaching adults through exactly this struggle, here's what we know:

This isn't a willpower problem. It's not a discipline problem. It's a biology problem.

After 50, your body is dealing with three specific challenges that most fitness programs completely ignore:

πŸ”₯ Quiet inflammation β€” driving belly fat, brain fog, stiffness, and stalled results
πŸ’ͺ Muscle loss β€” slowing your metabolism in ways that eating less will never fix
⚑ Energy breakdown β€” not just fatigue, but a cellular-level shift in how your body produces and uses energy

These aren't signs that you're failing. They're signs that the strategy needs to change.

That's exactly what the Rise & Rebuild Peak Life Kickstart is built to address.

It's a 28-day, science-backed program for adults over 50 who want to:

βœ… Support your body's natural response to inflammation and finally move the needle on belly fat
βœ… Build real strength and protect the muscle they still have
βœ… Restore consistent energy β€” without living on caffeine
βœ… Feel genuinely capable and confident in their body again

And it fits into your life β€”
100% online, on demand, accessible from anywhere in the US or Canada. About 30 minutes a day. That's it.

And it starts September 14th.

Here's what one of our members, Joanne, said after her first Kickstart at 62:

"I was at a standstill. I thought I was stuck and about gave up. I am more focused and feel great. I have lost 28 pounds and am now 10 pounds away from my goal weight. I now have the tools to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle for LIFE."**

This isn't a quick fix. It's not a detox. It's not a one-size-fits-all plan.

It's a system designed specifically for how your body works right now β€” with real coaching, real community, and real support behind you every step of the way.

28 days. 30 minutes a day. $119.

And it's backed by a 31-day money-back guarantee β€” so you can get started with complete confidence.

If you're ready to stop spinning your wheels and start working with your biology instead of against it, we'd love to have you in the September 14th cohort.

πŸ‘‰ Visit https://go.execlevelwellness.com/kickstart for everything that's included β€” or DM us STRONG and we'll answer any questions personally.

Enrollment closes when the group begins. 🌡

Your morning routine gets a lot of attention. But what you do the night before? That's where your morning is actually won or lost.

Here's what we've learned the hard way:

When our travel schedule throws off our evening routine β€” no prep, no wind-down, just collapsing into bed β€” the next morning tells the story immediately. Slower to start. Reaching for a second Energize before 8am. Making reactive decisions about food because nothing is ready. Feeling behind before the day has even begun.

Sound familiar?

Here's the science behind why this happens. Cortisol β€” your primary stress hormone β€” is naturally elevated in the morning. That's by design. It's what gets you moving. But when you start your day already scrambling, already behind, you're adding stress on top of an already elevated baseline. Everything feels harder than it needs to.

The nighttime routine is what prevents that cascade from starting.

A few things that make the biggest difference for us:

πŸŒ™ Prepping tomorrow before bed β€” workout clothes out, supplements ready, food plan in place
πŸŒ™ A real wind-down β€” screens and lights dimmed, something that signals to your nervous system that the day is done
πŸŒ™ A consistent bedtime β€” not a target, an actual non-negotiable

None of this is complicated. But all of it compounds.

September is a natural reset point β€” new season, new rhythm. If you're going to build one new habit this month, this is the one with the highest downstream return.

What's one thing you do the night before that makes your morning better? Tell us in the comments πŸ‘‡

Your core is working all day long β€” even when you're not thinking about it.

Every time you stand up from a chair. Carry groceries in from the car. Reach for something on a high shelf. Catch yourself before you stumble.

Your core is there. Stabilizing, protecting, making it possible.

And here's what most people over 50 don't realize: traditional ab exercises β€” crunches, sit-ups β€” only train one small piece of what your core actually does. Real core strength comes from training it the way it actually functions. In every direction. Under load. While your body is moving.

That's exactly what this circuit does.

The Full-Direction Core Circuit
Complete 1–3 rounds. Rest 60–90 seconds between rounds.

1. Dead Bug β€” 10 reps per side
Move slowly and with control. Lower your opposite arm and leg toward the floor while keeping your lower back pressed firmly into the ground.

2. Bird Dog β€” 10 reps per side
From hands and knees, extend your opposite arm and leg simultaneously. Keep your hips level β€” no rotating.

3. Curl-Up β€” 15–20 reps
Draw your chest toward your knees with control. Slow is harder. Slow is better.

4. Pallof Press β€” 10 reps per side
Using a resistance band anchored at chest height, press straight out and hold briefly before returning. Resist any rotation through your torso. No band? A standing oblique hold works.

5. Plank β€” 20–45 second hold
Hips level. Core braced. Breathing steady. If your form breaks, drop to your knees and keep the quality.

Try it and hit the comments β€” which one challenged you most? We're genuinely curious. πŸ‘‡

πŸ“Œ Save this for your next workout

We hear this constantly from driven adults who come to us frustrated:

"I'm eating less. I'm exercising more. And nothing is moving."

We believe them. Every time.

Because we've worked with enough high-achieving adults over 50 to know this isn't a discipline problem. These are not lazy people. These are not unmotivated people. These are people who have built careers, raised families, and carried serious responsibility their entire lives.

And their bodies are not responding the way they used to. Not because they're doing something wrong β€” but because the advice they're following was never designed for the biology they're working with now.

Here's what we know after 10 years of coaching adults through this exact struggle:

Stubborn belly fat in midlife is a biology problem. And it responds to a very specific set of inputs that generic fitness advice completely ignores.

Chronic stress keeps cortisol elevated β€” and elevated cortisol drives fat storage directly to your midsection, regardless of how clean you're eating.

Poor sleep disrupts the hormones that regulate appetite and fat metabolism β€” making fat loss harder even when your nutrition is dialed in.

The wrong kind of exercise adds physical stress to a system that's already overwhelmed β€” and can make things worse, not better.

And muscle loss after 50 slows your metabolism in ways that caloric restriction alone will never fix.

This isn't about trying harder. It's about trying differently.

The Rise & Rebuild Peak Life Kickstart opens September 14th. It's a 28-day, science-backed system that addresses all four of these areas together β€” built specifically for adults over 50 who are done spinning their wheels and ready to work with their biology instead of against it.

If you've been doing everything "right" and still not seeing results β€” you're not broken. You just need a different system.

Here's something we wish more people understood.

You can be eating well, moving your body, doing a lot of things right β€” and still be carrying too much visceral fat. And it can feel incredibly frustrating when you don't understand why.

Visceral fat isn't the kind you can pinch. It sits beneath your muscles, wrapping around your organs β€” and it becomes more common in midlife because of the hormonal shifts that happen to virtually all of us. You don't have to look overweight to be carrying too much of it. That's what makes it so easy to miss.

We've watched this play out with so many driven, health-conscious adults over 50 who are doing everything they think they should be doing β€” and still not seeing movement in this area. It's not a willpower problem. It's a biology problem. And it responds to a different set of strategies than most people expect.

Here's what the science β€” and our experience working with clients β€” shows actually moves the needle:

βœ”οΈ Making sleep and recovery a genuine priority, not an afterthought
βœ”οΈ Managing chronic stress load β€” not just acute stress, but the slow burn
βœ”οΈ Eating in a way that supports stable blood sugar and adequate protein
βœ”οΈ Regular strength training and moderate-intensity cardio, done consistently

None of this is complicated. But all of it requires intention β€” especially when life is full and the default is to put yourself last.

If you're doing the right things and still not seeing the results you expect β€” you're not broken. You might just need a different strategy.

That's exactly what we help with inside the Peak Life Kickstart.

DM us STRONG and let's talk about what that could look like for you. πŸ’ͺ

The Peak Life Kickstart β€” Rise & Rebuild Cohort starts September 14th. πŸ”₯

We built this program around one belief: your body isn’t broken. The strategy needs to change.

Most wellness programs weren’t designed for what actually happens to the body after 50 β€” the accelerating muscle loss, the chronic inflammation, the energy decline that no amount of willpower fixes.

The Peak Life Kickstart addresses all three. Directly. With science that explains why β€” and a system that fits real life. βœ…

Four weeks. ~30 minutes a day. Personalized coaching. Private community. Science-backed from the ground up.

And this isn’t a quick fix. πŸ‘‡

Your investment includes 12 months of continued access to the program, coaching and community β€” because we know lasting change doesn’t happen in 28 days. It starts there. πŸ”₯

Randy Nelson, PhD β€” former NIH-funded researcher at ASU’s Biodesign Institute β€” built the curriculum. Amy Nelson, certified wellness coach β€” 16 years living this work β€” leads the coaching.

If you’re ready to rise and rebuild β€” we’d love to have you. Link to learn more in the comments. πŸ‘‡

Here's something worth reframing before your next cookout.
A lot of barbecue food is actually really healthy.

Grilled chicken, burgers, fish, corn on the cob, veggie skewers β€” when you strip cookout food back to the basics, it's mostly protein and vegetables cooked over an open flame.

That's pretty much the definition of eating well.

The not-so-healthy things that sneak in are usually the sides and extras β€” the mayo-heavy salads, the sweetened drinks, the chips that somehow disappear before the food is even ready. None of that is off limits. But it's worth being intentional rather than just grazing your way through the afternoon on autopilot.

Our approach at a cookout:

πŸ₯© Load up on grilled protein first β€” it anchors the plate and keeps you genuinely satisfied

🌽 Fill the rest of the plate with vegetables and lighter sides before adding anything else

🍺 Be selective about liquid calories β€” this is where cookout calories quietly add up fastest

🍰 Choose one or two things you really want and actually enjoy them β€” no guilt, no negotiating with yourself afterward

The goal isn't to be the person standing next to the grill eating plain chicken while everyone else has fun.

It's to enjoy the cookout fully AND feel good the next morning. Both things are possible at the same time.

That's what sustainable healthy eating actually looks like β€” not perfection at every meal, but enough awareness to make good choices most of the time and genuinely enjoy the rest.

πŸ‘‰ Follow along for more real-life, science-backed strategies to feel strong, energized, and fully alive after 50 β€” without giving up the things you enjoy.

08/03/2026

You've probably seen "forever chemicals" and PFAS in the news lately. But there's a related issue sitting in most people's kitchens right now that doesn't get nearly enough attention.

Some plastics contain chemicals called endocrine disruptors β€” and as the name suggests, they interfere directly with your body's hormonal system. They can mimic estrogen, disrupting the hormonal signals that regulate energy, metabolism, sleep, and body composition.

This matters more after 50, when hormonal balance is already shifting and your system is more sensitive to inputs that push it in the wrong direction.

One thing worth knowing: "BPA-free" doesn't mean chemical-free. Many manufacturers simply replaced BPA with structurally similar chemicals like BPS β€” which emerging research suggests may be just as problematic. The label is not a green light.

The good news: the swaps are straightforward.

βœ”οΈ Stop microwaving in plastic containers β€” heat significantly increases chemical leaching

βœ”οΈ Ditch the plastic water bottle for stainless steel or glass

βœ”οΈ Swap your most-used food storage containers for glass β€” it's the gold standard

βœ”οΈ Replace plastic utensils with silicone, wood, or stainless steel

You don't have to replace everything at once. Start with the highest-risk habits first and work through the rest gradually. Small swaps, made consistently, add up faster than you'd expect.

Reducing environmental inputs that disrupt hormonal balance is one of the principles we focus on inside the Molecular Wellnessβ„’ Framework β€” because what you're exposed to daily matters just as much as what you eat and how you train.

βœ… Share this with someone who needs to know about the BPA-free label myth

βœ… Save this for your next kitchen cleanout

βœ… Follow along for more science-backed strategies to feel stronger and more energized after 50
