This July, the mission is clear: fight the heat—and save lives.

DeGeorge Partners has teamed up with Phoenix Rescue Mission to support Code: Red, a heat relief campaign delivering water, hygiene kits, and direct outreach to people experiencing homelessness in Greater Phoenix.

“We’re not just selling homes—we’re part of a community,” says
Karen DeGeorge, of DeGeorge Partners. “When we learned about the Code: Red campaign, we knew we had to do more than donate. We had to take action.”

Zero fatalities—but how long will our luck hold?

In our newest feature, Aaron Lavazza and Lavazza Safety pulls back the curtain on two back-to-back trench rescues that unfolded across the Valley in a single afternoon this May.

One worker was rushed to the hospital. The other crew barely escaped.

This is National Safety Month, and the stats in Arizona tell a sobering story:

🔹 103 workers died on the job in 2023—no improvement from the year before
🔹 41% of those deaths were transportation-related
🔹 Falls, slips, and trips claimed 19 more lives
🔹 Meanwhile, national fatalities declined 4%

So why isn’t Arizona moving the needle?
