Hey Push or Pivot Friends! I’ve been basking in my pause and listening to fabulous interviews. One of those is Safiya Robinson’s Writing Black Joy Series and I know that this community would love it! I really enjoyed her interview with Ayesis Clay! Ayesis talked about how sometimes others see your genius before you see it in yourself. She also shared a quote from Lady Dane Figuero Edidi “My pain is not more sacred than my joy”. That quote spells out why I think Writing Black Joy is so important! Despite Marsha's own physical and mental health issues, she spent most of her life helping others. NEW EPISODE : What is gaslighting? Do you internalize stories that we or other people create? When we do, it makes us second guess our intuition.

A simple question to ask yourself may not stop your beliefs right away but questioning why you are holding yourself back is a continual practice.
