Spent most of the afternoon planting flowers.
Somehow I always end up covered in dirt... even when I tell myself I'll "just plant a few." 🌼
Worth it.

When I was younger, I couldn't understand why my grandfather loved sitting on this porch.
He'd just watch the lake. Sometimes for an hour.
As a kid, I thought it looked... boring.
Now I catch myself doing the exact same thing.
Maybe growing up isn't about finding more excitement.
Maybe it's about finally appreciating the quiet moments you used to overlook.
Do you have a place that always makes you slow down? 🤍

This Quiet Tennessee Mountain Town Feels Like a Breath of Fresh, Simpler Times 👇🏻 👇🏻

I know I've been a little quiet lately. So I packed a bag and came back to my grandfather's old lake cabin for a few days.
The funny thing is, every time I come here, I realize how little I actually need to be happy.
A quiet morning. A sunset over the water. A place that feels like home.
Maybe I'm getting old-fashioned, but that sounds pretty perfect to me.
Could you live somewhere like this year-round? 🤍

I almost didn't come up to the cabin this weekend.

The grass was getting too long. The porch needed sweeping. There were dishes I never put away the last time I was here.

Part of me wanted to stay home and deal with everything later, but this place has a way of pulling me back.

My grandfather built this cabin long before I was born. Nothing fancy. Just wood, a lake, and a lot of memories.

This morning I opened the door, heard the water, and sat on the porch for almost an hour doing absolutely nothing.

No TV. No notifications. No people asking for something.

Just the sound of the lake and the wind moving through the trees.

It's funny how the things we spend our lives chasing are usually the things that leave us exhausted.

And the things that heal us are often the simplest.

Maybe that's why I keep coming back here.

Does anyone else have a place that feels like home the moment they pull into the driveway? 🤍

Would you ever move to a tiny town for the right person? 🤍

I grew up around people who didn’t always know how to say they cared.
They just stayed. They helped. They showed up when things got heavy.
The older I get, the more I realize how rare that kind of love really is 🤍
Some evenings make me think about that more than others.
What’s something someone did for you that you never forgot?

I grew up around people who didn’t say much.

They weren’t big on speeches or emotional conversations.
Most of the time, you just knew people cared by what they did.

They showed up when your truck broke down.
They helped carry things without being asked.
They checked on you after hard days without making it a big deal.

The older I get, the more I realize how rare that kind of love really is.

Quiet people often care the deepest.

I think a lot of us are carrying more than we admit lately… and sometimes just having someone show up beside you means everything 🤍

What’s something someone did for you that you never forgot?
