Festival Status Constellation—compliments of OpenAI: Checking the stars… Aura’s Call charts its path through the KICFF cosmos 😉✨🌠

December 20th will reveal the “Official Winners” of the KICFF.

Official is a powerful word.

Was Aura’s Call officially “not selected”? 🤔

As Yogi Berra said: “It ain’t over ’til it’s over.”

👁 Confession from the pixel trenches:
After switching to a newer monitor, I uncovered something mildly embarrassing on my website—courtesy of a 20+ year-old Apple Cinema Display that had been lying to me with absolute conviction.

Truth is, my hero image was potentially serving premium eye candy to the pixel-peeping perverts of the internet. 🫣
Enter the alternative monitor—and suddenly… clarity.

The swamp creature revealed itself.
Exposed.
Exterminated.

A grayscale gradient descended like holy water, extinguishing all jollies and rendering the next tier of the Bright Mountain Pro climb… flawless.

Timing is everything.
Grateful for creative tools that arrive exactly when they’re needed. 🙏🎬

🎬 Creative Souls, Assemble!
There comes a moment when your hard-earned craft feels… null, and the world’s response teeters on dull—except for that rare, league of extraordinaires!

Point being: release the jigginess. Explore as if your superpower exists solely to have fun. Let it.

Just play, players. Dance through the space between your ears, and let the rest dissolve into oblivion.
Stay wild. Stay focused. Stay chasing your dreams!💫

🎬 Smell the aroma, dwellers of the 3rd sense!

Today at the grocery store, I had a Frank’s fiasco of epic proportions. I forgot to flip the baby seat lid on the cart, and POW—one bottle’s jigginess exploded across the aisle floor, creating its own marketing strategy. I became the lone guardian of the spill, a German Shepherd on high alert, defending the masses from an unexpected slip-and-slide while silently fueling their craving for Buffalo Chicken Wings—the exact reason the bottle was in my cart in the first place.

The first bottle made an impact. Legendary, chaotic, unmistakable. The second bottle? Standing tall on the pantry shelf, untouched, full of potential, waiting for the moment it was meant to seize.

Same ingredients, different container. Same chaos, different story. 🎥

🏴‍☠️Aye, Captains! Bright Mountain Pro sails with you…

Keep that weather eye on the horizon — festivals pass like distant ships, but the right ones always cut through the fog when the time is right.

When something catches your eye, or when the winds shift and you feel that “submit” breeze in your sails, give a holler. I’ll be at the helm, lantern lit, ready to chart the course with jigginess and precision.

Until then… steady as she goes, Pro Players.

🎬 According to every forum, judge thread, and FilmFreeway survivor log…
BMP moonwalked right up to the velvet rope. POW — “Not Selected.”
The film wasn’t tossed early; it made the final circle. Just not enough chairs when the music stopped.
FilmFreeway doesn’t explain. We don’t question. Mystery builds character. Rejection builds reels.

I’ll never bring this up again… unless it flips.
BMP keeps moving. Always cinematic. Always jiggy. 👊✨

🔏 Be ye humble, aesthetic artisans!

Sometimes you follow your gut. Sometimes you take the shot anyway.
Aura’s Call didn’t land—maybe a glitch, maybe just last-second decisions—but the climb pushed BMP to a whole new level. It was a full Recon Mission: mapping the craft, refining the vision, advancing frame by frame.

This wasn’t about applause or likes—it was about the craft, the climb, and pushing BMP higher.
Recon Mission continues: mapping, refining, advancing—frame by frame, vision by vision.
Onward. ✨

If anyone wondered whether Aura’s Call stood a chance in a Christian film festival — here’s the breakdown…

After reviewing the guidelines and past selections, it became pretty clear: Aura’s Call may not preach, but it is spiritual, reverent, uplifting, and rooted in the symbolism of Christmas. That places it firmly inside the realm of Christian and faith-friendly festivals — including Knoxville — unless a festival specifically requires overt evangelism, and theirs did not.

On top of that, I’ve spent years working in a television network environment owned by a Christian. My role was to edit TV shows and films from major distributors — plus original productions — to fit the network’s family-friendly standards and practices. It wasn’t a Christian network, but it operated with Christian-based guidelines, so I learned exactly where that line is drawn.

Because of that background, I knew Aura’s Call absolutely stood a chance at being selected. The film expresses light, guidance, calling, and the quiet beauty of Christmas — all elements that resonate within the long tradition of Christian art.

🏴‍☠️ Heave ho, creatives!
Forget the mental gymnastics, and let’s get down to the reality of the situation. According to the jigginess calendar, I’ve been analyzed and ostracized — damn skippy-sized.

Here’s the deal, jigga-maniacs: sometimes the players of light succumb to the influence of dark-player prowess and glitch beyond reasonable boundaries. Pro-players let the discretion ride — just a wee bit. In this case, the film kahunas decided to get down to the subjectivity of their moment — bad mood, perhaps? I’m rethinking the box, players! Herculean effort should get just a little kiss of encouragement.

Stay clear of subjective influence, and “Stay focused on your dreams!”

🎬 Good evening, maestros of the mountains… and you shadow players lurking in the frame.
Just a small marker on this next-level climb — nothing loud, nothing flexed.
Simply keeping you in the loop during the humble wait.

Feels like a christening. I'll keep you updated. Back to the mist, players... ✨

Bright Mountain Road

I got the idea for BMP back when I was working for a national television network in West Palm Beach, FL called PAX Television Network owned by Lowell Bud Paxson. My parents had a cabin in Cashiers, NC on Bright Mountain Road at the time. My mother would mail me a card on occasion that she had hand-drawn a picture of a mountain range and smiley faced sun on the envelope and the words “Bright Mountain” were written across the top. So one day I told her, that was going to be the name of my production company one day.

In 2005 I was restructured out of PAX TV after 6+ years of service. Following the restructure, I moved to Western North Carolina to visit family and pursued my dream of launching Bright Mountain Productions. It's definitely been a roller coaster ride, but I'm still at it!

Bright Mountain Productions is registered with the state of NC for: Video Production, Photography and Remote Video Editing Services. Please contact me for your creative services needs. I communicate well and am easy to work with.
