A reluctant “yes” in obedience became the doorway for a miraculous healing.

Just like Moses - full of hesitation, doubt, and insecurity- God still moved in power through his obedience. Sometimes faith doesn’t look fearless. Sometimes it looks like trembling obedience and a willingness to take one small step anyway.

Sometimes in a prayer session you’ll see partial breakthrough. some freedom, some healing, some relief, but you still feel like something is unfinished. Don’t rush past that moment. Pause and ask the Holy Spirit, “Is there anything else You want to reveal?”

So often the missing piece is hidden in a lie, an unhealed wound, unforgiveness, fear, or agreement that hasn’t yet been brought into the light. In this case - it was a witch doctor curse. The Holy Spirit reveals truth and full breakthrough comes.

Freedom doesn’t come from striving harder - it comes from partnering with the Spirit of Truth. What stays hidden keeps its power. What’s brought into the light loses it.

One of the enemy’s favorite places to hide is inside unresolved grief and brokenheartedness.

Especially in children who lose a parent.

A grieving heart can become an “open door” where generational darkness tries to continue resting in a family bloodline after its previous host is gone. The pain, trauma, abandonment, confusion, and loss create fertile ground for oppression, lies, fear, addiction, anger, depression, and torment to take root.

This is why Jesus cares so deeply about healing the brokenhearted. ❤️‍🩹

It matters that we stay sensitive when we minister. You can miss a moment if you’re too locked into your plan.

Yieldedness looks like slowing down. Being willing to pause… linger… and follow what the Holy Spirit is doing instead of what you planned to do.

We saw this so clearly in kids ministry recently. While singing “Open the Eyes of My Heart” and inviting the kids to ask Jesus to reveal Himself, several of them began having open visions - seeing angels and Jesus in the room.

Everything shifted.

We could’ve moved on to stay on schedule… but we didn’t. And lives were changed.

Are you willing to stop and let Him move?

The enemy’s strategy isn’t always loud - it’s can be subtle silence and lies - Keeping believers unaware of the possibility that demonic oppression can happen to them and that deliverance is “weird” and for unbelievers.

When the reality is - deliverance is sometimes the only solution for the pain in their lives. The enemy wants to keep Christians from living in the full freedom Jesus already paid for. Darkness thrives where truth is ignored - but light and truth expose everything.

Part of the intake form and interview process we use before praying gets very specific about past involvement in illicit spiritual practices things like the occult, spells, sacrifice, crystals, manifestation, reiki, and even yoga.

You might not think all of these belong in the same category, but each one can open a door to unholy spiritual influence. (Aka demons)

Knowing whether someone has dabbled in or fully immersed themselves in these practices gives you insight into how to pray more effectively and intentionally for them.
