I’m still reeling from the generosity and magic that unfolded last Sunday during our Guitars for Girls fundraisers.
Thanks to the incredible team at Classic Electric Tattoo & Body Piercing our Guitars for Girls Flash Tattoo fundraiser more than doubled the funds we raised from the benefit concert and silent auction.
That’s right - 22 people walked out with a tattoo and walked into our mission, helping us raise $2200 in a single day. 🤯
Thank you to every single one of you who got tattooed. None of this would have worked if you hadn’t participated.
If you weren’t aware, every artist there volunteered their time, devoting their entire Sunday to helping us empower the next generation of girls in Frederick and greater Appalachia through musicianship, songwriting, and band leadership.
If you’re looking to get a tattoo, these are your people. Please consider following their work and supporting them the next time you’re in the market for a new piece:

And a special, heartfelt thank you to Eric Brooks, who was the spark that lit this entire fire. It was Eric who urged me to take this idea to the public, who encouraged me to book the benefit concert, to move it to Olde Mother so more people could attend, and who dreamed up the flash tattoo event that became such a wild success.
Eric, I’m totally overwhelmed and deeply grateful.
Thank you all for being a part of this story. The best is yet to come.
More updates when I get home from this little run of shows. Lots of driving for me right now.
With love and awe,
Katie
