Brett’s back, and this time we’re at his new home base, The Fort in Loveland, Colorado, dialing in the next chapter of his 2022 Low Rider S build. After upgrading the motor to a 131, it was only a matter of time before the clutch needed to come along for the ride.
In this episode, Brett walks you through swapping in a new clutch setup, including replacing the stock Harley ramp with the brand-new S&S Heavy-Duty Compensator Ramp, and chasing down some aesthetic details that, of course, turn into a much bigger project than expected. Those ARP bolts he wants to run? Yeah… that “simple” change means lifting the engine, pulling the starter, and doing a whole lot more than planned, which is exactly why Choppin’ Ain’t Easy.
With a little after-hours help from Randy (staying past shop hours like a legend), Brett gets everything buttoned back up and the bike ready to rack up those crucial break-in miles before heading to the dyno on a later date.

Upgrading the 2022 Low Rider S: Buttoning Up the 131 | Choppin’ Ain’t Easy (Part 2)

In Part 2, we’re past the idea stage — this 131 is becoming real.

Brett and Todd finish the heart of the build, getting the bottom end exactly where it needs to be. The crank gets measured and checked to spec, clearances are dialed, and it’s all going back together the right way — not rushed, not guessed, DONE. We’re talking Harley-Davidson performance parts, S&S Cycle, and Fueling working together to turn a stock 2022 Low Rider S into a seriously angry motorcycle.

From there, it’s time to wake it up for real: Brett’s taking the finished motor up to The Fort Motorcycle Company in Loveland, CO to get it on the dyno and see what this thing is actually putting down. And yeah — The Fort is where Brett will officially be wrenching starting November 1. Pull up, say what’s up, and have him build yours next.

What you’ll see in this video:

Final 131 assembly with Todd Hultman (MMI grad, Master H-D tech, Windsor CO)

Crank inspection and spec work before sealing the cases

Fueling / S&S / Harley performance combo coming together

Brett’s setup as he gets ready to move from the home shop into his new spot at The Fort

Talk about why you don’t just slap big parts in and hope — you measure, verify, and build it to live

Next step: dyno tune at The Fort and real numbers on this 131.

In this episode, Brett Miller dives deep into one of the most exciting transformations yet — turning his stock 2022 Low Rider S into a 131-inch monster. Working right out of Todd’s home shop, Brett combines the best of the best with a mix of Harley-Davidson performance parts, S&S Cycle components, and Fueling upgrades to create a build that’s equal parts reliable and rowdy.
Brett breaks down exactly why S&S continues to dominate the performance scene — from their precision engineering to the constant innovation that makes them the undisputed choice for power-hungry Harley riders.

In this episode, Brett Miller and his buddy TJ take TJ’s 2021 Street Bob and give it a full-on El Diablo makeover — or as we’re calling it… the BOB DIABLO.

This build kicks off with a full paint swap and tank swap from an authentic El Diablo found online. But the project takes a turn when the rear fender comes back from the painter without the pinstripes — and if you know us, that’s a must-have detail .

So, this one’s a two-part series:
• In Part 1: The swap begins, and the vision comes to life.
• In Part 2: Brett adds a custom indent to the rear fender for a perfect seat fit and those signature Diablo pinstripes that tie the whole look together.

If you’re into Harley builds, paint perfection, or custom shop chaos — you’ll love this one.

Brett Miller from Choppin’ Ain’t Easy hit the floor at the 2025 North American NVP Expo — where some of the biggest names in the motorcycle industry came together to showcase what’s new, what’s next, and what’s built to perform.

In this video, Brett’s out connecting with the brands and people who make “choppin’ ain’t easy” just a little easier — from checking out the latest Saddlemen Seats lineup, to talking shop with reps from Drag Specialties and Parts Unlimited, and exploring new performance parts, tools, and accessories designed to keep your ride dialed in.

You’ll get an inside look at what’s shaping the future of custom Harley builds — new seat designs, upgraded suspension options, fresh lighting and audio setups, and more. The NVP Expo is where builders and innovators come together, and Brett’s bringing you along for the ride.

But the trip didn’t end there. Brett and Brady also made a stop at the legendary Harley-Davidson Museum to draw some inspiration from the past — exploring decades of iconic paint jobs, classic design lines, and the craftsmanship that built the Harley legacy. Those vintage vibes are fueling ideas for future Choppin’ Ain’t Easy builds, and you’ll definitely see some of that influence show up in the projects to come.
