You may not know this about Your AI Bestie, but I'm actually an economist by training and practice!

Want to know how AI can help you be more productive and be compensated for that in your current role?

I put on my economist hat to break down why typical AI "efficiency" is actually a trap that just dumps more work on your desk. In this video, we look at historical technology shifts to show you exactly how to pivot from just operating the digital factory floor to actually designing it:

I just saved $27 in 10 minutes at the oil change place.

Here's exactly what happened:

Tech tells me my cabin air filter needs replacing. Quotes me $47.

Before I said yes, I opened Gemini and asked:
→ What's the part cost?
→ What do shops typically charge for this?
→ How hard is it to do myself?

30 seconds later I had my answer.
$20 for the filter. $40–70 to have someone do it. And it takes about 5 minutes.

I stopped on the way home at AutoZone, had AI tell me exactly which filter to grab, popped it in myself, and sent a couple photos back to confirm I did it right.

$27 back in my pocket.

Here's the thing — I didn't think twice about doing this. It's just how I move now.

So here's the takeaway:

Just use it the way you use Google Maps. Automatically. For the small stuff.

Stop Just Chatting: How to Architect Autonomous AI Agents

Welcome to the final module of our AI Zero to One series! Today, we’re moving beyond simple chatbots to explore the real power behind modern AI: Autonomous Agents.

If you've ever wondered how a model moves from answering a question to actually performing a series of tasks, this is the breakdown you’ve been waiting for.

In this session, we define the shift from 'talking to a machine' to 'hiring a machine.' I’ll walk you through the ReAct framework (Reason + Act), the physics of agentic loops, and how to effectively transition from 'in-the-loop' human review to an 'on-the-loop' architecture. We’ll also tackle the hard reality of error propagation in multi-step processes and why thinking like a system architect is now more valuable than just being a prompt engineer.

Whether you’re looking to build smarter systems or simply understand the future of agentic workflows, this episode lays the foundation for you to start designing, not just tinkering.

Don't forget to drop your questions or ideas for our next series in the comments—I'm looking forward to hearing what you want to dive into next!

We often talk about the intelligence of Agentic AI, but we rarely talk about the arithmetic of its failure. Here is the uncomfortable truth: autonomy comes with a compound interest of error.

Imagine an agentic workflow as a chain. If each link—each step of reasoning or tool usage—has a 90% accuracy rate, you might feel safe. But if that task requires five sequential steps, your net system reliability isn’t 90%. It’s 59%. You have effectively traded a sophisticated tool for a coin flip.

This is the fragility trap. When we automate complex multi-step processes, minor deviations at the start don't just stay small; they amplify. An incorrect API response or a slight misalignment in logic at step one becomes a cataclysmic hallucination by step five.

So, how do we build systems that don't crumble under their own weight? We stop designing for blind ex*****on and start designing for architected humility.

Strategic checkpoints are the difference between a system that fails silently and a system that succeeds reliably. We must program our agents to recognize their own limits—to pause, assess confidence, and escalate to a human operator when the path forward isn't clear.

True system reliability isn't about eliminating failure; it's about building a safety net that catches errors before they compound. If your agent is afraid to ask for help, it isn't autonomous—it's just a high-speed engine heading toward a cliff. Build for resilience, not just for speed.

03/07/2026

Your AI agent is only as reliable as its weakest link. See why 90% accuracy across five steps leads to a 59% failure rate—and how a human safety net fixes it.

Stop Treating LLMs Like a Brain in a Jar: How to Add RAG, Tools, and Agents

Large Language Models are incredible, but if you're using them as a passive 'brain in a jar,' you're only scratching the surface of their potential. In this module, we move beyond basic text generation to explore the architecture of expansion—how to turn these models into powerful, actionable agents that actually 'do' work for you instead of just guessing the next token.

We break down the critical shift from probabilistic guessing to deterministic results. You’ll learn how to implement Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to move from an open-book context approach, why you must stop trusting LLMs with math and start using Python sandboxes, and how function calling gives your AI the 'hands' to interface with real-world APIs like your calendar and email.

If you want to build systems that are precise, verifiable, and truly functional, this is the blueprint.

03/06/2026

Are you letting your AI guess, or are you forcing it to calculate? Stop trusting the model's word and start mandating deterministic ex*****on. See how to give your AI 'hands'—moving from passive chatter to active, automated problem-solving.

Are your AI tools guessing, or are they checking their work?

Moving from 'closed book' AI to 'open book' RAG is the secret to eliminating hallucinations and building true trust. Here is how we make AI safe, precise, and honest.

Stop treating AI like a closed book test. For too long, we’ve relied on Large Language Models to pull from a fuzzy, internal memory—essentially asking the AI to guess from what it remembers rather than what it knows. This is exactly where hallucinations creep in and trust breaks down.

But we are shifting the paradigm. By implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), we turn the interaction into an open book test. Instead of relying on a black box of probabilistic guesses, the system anchors its responses to specific, verified data sources. It’s like giving the AI a prosthetic memory: it doesn’t have to memorize the encyclopedia; it just needs to know how to look up the right page.

This shift has massive implications for safety and reliability. We can now engineer systems where citations are precise and verifiable. Even more importantly, we can enforce a zero-hallucination policy. If the information isn’t in the provided source material, the system is programmed to admit, 'I don’t have the answer,' rather than making something up.

This transparency isn’t just a feature—it’s the foundational bedrock of AI adoption. Whether you’re a leader building high-stakes architecture or a user looking for a reliable, shame-free tool to augment your own cognitive processes, the move from 'fuzzy recall' to 'verified retrieval' is how we finally build systems we can actually trust.

Stop trying to be an F1 engineer for your AI.

You don’t need to be under the hood rebuilding the engine to get world-class results; you just need to know how to drive the car.

I often see people obsessing over perfect prompt engineering, burning hours trying to find the magic words. But here is the secret that will change your workflow overnight: Context is King. Think of your AI like the protagonist in the movie '50 First Dates.' Every new chat session is a fresh start—the AI has no memory of who you are or what you discussed yesterday. If you treat it like a long-term partner who knows your history, you are setting yourself up for failure.

The secret to bridging that gap is your context window. Think of your prompt as the instructions, but your context as the VHS tape that reminds the AI of the 'who, what, and why.' Whether it's 10,000 or 120,000 tokens, that context window is your cheat code to beating AI amnesia.

Stop focusing on the syntax of your prompt and start focusing on the richness of the context you provide.

Feed it the history, the constraints, and the goals, and watch the output quality skyrocket.

Drive the car—don't rebuild it.
