Welcome to the FIRST EPISODE of the Love, Loss, & Transformation podcast featuring a powerful, emotionally stirring articulation of one woman's experience of marrying her soul mate and how she recovered from his untimely passing.
Anyone who is curious about love, death, spirituality, god, grief, recovery, and emotional transformation will find Missy Masterson Hale's story incredibly and profoundly valuable. Missy holds nothing back in her telling and even reads from the journal she kept that helped her through the bleakest days after her husband's passing.
Missy is a powerhouse of a human who continues to live life to the fullest with her giant heart leading the way in all she does. Throughout her life, Missy has worked as both a human and animal nurse; she operated a dog training school; bred and raised bison; performed as a stage actor; and so much more.
Missy currently resides in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas with her two dog companions Butter & Bella, both of whom are pictured in the podcast. Listen if you'd like to hear the amazing story of the "Rescue of Butter the Golden Retriever".

We here at the Love, Loss, & Transformation podcast are seeking more individuals to tell their stories. The themes we are specifically looking for include:
RELIGION - Stories of religion (or atheism/agnosticism, etc.) lost, the subsequent effects of that loss, and the eventual transformation that took place about belief systems, god, the meaning of life, the afterlife, etc. EX: A Christian who looses his faith only to rediscover it in a new way outside the walls of orthodoxy.
STUFF - Stories of losing something in the physical world - like a house, a car, all their money - the subsequent effects of that loss, and the eventual re-appraisal of value systems, ideas of ownership and how freedom can become stuffed by the very stuff we own, including our own bodies (now THERE'S a thought...) EX: My house burned down and I lost everything I owned but the clothes I was wearing and my two vehicles. Included in the devastation was my life's memoirs recorded in over 30 hand-written journals. My transformation begun when I realized I had been living in a way that no longer resonated with my soul and because I no longer had anything to lose, I was free.
RELATIONSHIPS - Stories about break-ups, divorce, or ending a friendship, how the subsequent effects of that loss caused an eventual transformation that resulted in a new way of experiencing relationship. EX: A woman leaves her friend circle after realizing that the toxic petty gossip that goes on there begins to negatively impact her well-being. She decides to consciously choose friendships that are heart-based, kind, and inspiring and is rewarded with a new best friend.
PERSPECTIVE SHIFT - Stories about being entrenched in a particular perspective (political/cultural/familial/religious etc.), questioning the limitations of that perspective, then through a series of realizations, adopts a completely new perspective. EX: An avid Democrat-identifying individual realizes the corruption of the entire political system and eventually shifts his perspective towards anarchism.
