After 26 years of doing life together, one thing I know for sure: never stop dating your spouse.
Quality time and dating each other are two different things. Life gets busy. Careers, responsibilities, and raising children can easily take center stage. But somewhere along the way, it’s important to keep choosing each other.
We’ve watched our kids grow into incredible young adults (still teenagers) #. We’ve faced challenges, celebrated victories, and weathered every season life has brought our way. Looking back, every obstacle only made us stronger and deepened the foundation we’ve built together.
So date your spouse. Take the drive with the windows down. Turn up your favorite song. Hold hands. Laugh about old memories. Dream about what’s still ahead. Put the phones away and simply enjoy being together.
Because one day, you’ll look around and realize the house is quieter, the kids are grown, and it’s just the two of you again. And when that day comes, you’ll be grateful you never stopped investing in the relationship that started it all.
