I Just Finish Watching The Wild Robot I Do Liked It But I Really Do Agree that the film had several glaring flaws that keep it from being a classic. For one thing, the first half was EXTREMELY rushed. Felt like there wasn’t a single moment to absorb everything that happened. It went by far too quickly. Also, the pop song they inserted into the movie completely clashed with the film’s tone. I know filmmakers have been putting pop songs into animated movies for decades now, but that doesn’t mean they should continue to do it, especially with films like this. Also, while it did slow down eventually, the relationships still felt rushed and characters like Longneck that should’ve been introduced way sooner were introduced at the halfway point for some reason. That includes that evil female robot at the end who’s only in the film for a couple minutes. I will say that there are some BEAUTIFUL shots in this film. I also like Roz’ design a lot, especially when she turns yellow during the scene of her retrieving the animals during the winter (Side note: She totally stole Baymax’s catchphrase. I know they’re both helper robots, but still.) However, I Still Like The Movie Either Way
