Why I love being a second shooter: Being a second shooter has taught me that not every important moment is loud or staged. A lot of the real story lives in the in-between—the reactions, the side glances, the things people don’t think are being seen.

I don’t feel like I’m “just assisting.” I feel like I’m preserving the emotional memory of the day.

And I think that’s what I love most about it.

Not just capturing weddings—but noticing them.

I’m not an expert — I’m always learning.

I’ve come to realize there’s no shame in not knowing everything. Life doesn’t ask us to arrive fully formed. It only asks us to show up.

I once manifested the opportunity to work with creatives, and I carry so much gratitude for that experience. Thank you to / for trusting me with that early chapter as an intern — it meant more than I understood at the time.

Videography is beautiful to me because it never stops unfolding. There is always something new waiting to be learned, seen, or felt.

And there’s a story I deeply love watching unfold — the one where someone doesn’t know everything, but still chooses to learn, still chooses to try, still chooses to execute anyway. Behind the scenes, that’s where the real art lives. 🤍🤍🤍
