Sound Expressions Music Ed, B.A. Piano Performance What Does A Sound Healing Therapist Do? I work with frequencies, sound, and music. Sound, i.e. Do you need a fresh perspective?

Certified: Sound Healing Therapy, VoiceBio Sound Therapist, Vibrational Sound Coach, Sound Therapy for Neurodivergent Kids, IBRT and ATB Touch Therapy Practitioner, Essential Oils/Spiritual Health Coach; PhD Theology, M.A. frequencies, are everywhere, and music is able to engage people at all levels. Specifically, I analyze body frequencies. My baseline tool is a VoiceBio, which provides a frequen

cy measurement. This profile is used to create music specific to individual needs; the human voice reveals much of what's transpiring within emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. Once specific needs are identified, I spontaneously create a musical piece tailored to the client's body's frequency needs, whether it be enhancement, support or de-stressing. Clients in my sessions have often referred to this experience as likened to receiving a sound massage. I am a Shaper/Producer/Contemplator (Leader/Giver/Teacher - Romans 12:4-8) Psalmist, sharing my portion of Holy Spirit light and my key of music as a vessel to awaken, release, and activate freedom and restoration through the blood atonement of Jesus Christ to those caught in bondage (Isaiah 61). If any of the following questions pertain to your needs, you may want to consider Sound Healing Therapy and Sound Expressions music:

Are you or is someone you know have difficulty sleeping? Are you stressed about finances, relationships, health, work, school, or circumstances? Are you being emotionally, mentally, physically, or spiritually stretched or exhausted? Are you needing to find peace and rest in the busyness of life, needing a break from the daily routine of life to soak in a sound massage? Are you struggling with stuck emotions, depression or grief? Are you experiencing difficult life situations (sickness, disease, death, stress, anxiety, grief)? Do you or someone you know need music that ushers peace and calming into daily life? Are you caught up in a medical treadmill and looking for alternative options? Are you in need of prayer specific to your needs? The Psalmists

Have you recently considered the psalmists? A psalmist is someone who hears and expresses the heartbeat of the Lord through their gifting/skill in music. A psalmist ministers peace, rest, comfort, revelation, and inspiration into a specific time or place he/she is sent by the Lord. (See 1 Samuel 16:21-13 and Isaiah 6:8.) Psalming is not simply what we do, but it’s who we have been created/gifted/skilled to be for the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth in Christ. Modern day psalmists have been through intensive training for Kingdom assignments that are now at hand. Pray about inviting us into your atmospheres to release, shift, worship, pray, or whatever other needs are pressing on your heart, soul, or mind. Also, prayerfully consider the soaking music of psalmists as:

music to to release frequencies that impact physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs
music to shift/release an atmosphere of peace and rest into the stress/anxiety of life/circumstances
music for prayer
inspiration for creativity (painting, sketching, writing, dancing, photography, sculpting, crafts)
music for contemplation
worship
studying the Word
resting
music without words to quietly listen, activating and empowering your own ability to receive needed direction and revelation

Childhood chores predict adult success by teaching crucial life skills like responsibility, work ethic, time management, and problem-solving, fostering self-reliance and competence, and building empathy and teamwork, leading to greater self-esteem, better relationships, and stronger academic/professional achievement, as shown in long-term studies the the Harvard Grant Study.

🗂️Key Skills Developed through Chores:

📑Responsibility & Accountability: Kids learn that tasks need doing and have consequences if ignored, mirroring deadlines and bosses in the “real world”.

📑Work Ethic & Persistence: Regular tasks build perseverance, patience and the understanding that efforts leads to results.

📑Executive Function: Managing chores improves planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills, essential for academics and life.

📑Empathy & Teamwork: Contributing to the household fosters gratitude and makes children feel part of a larger system, building prosocial behavior.

📑Delayed Gratification: Learning to complete tasks for future comfort (like a clean room) builds self-control.

A large genetic study published in the journal Sleep Health used Mendelian randomization to investigate whether daytime napping has a causal relationship with brain structure, rather than just a simple correlation. The researchers analyzed data from 378,932 middle-aged adults (40–69 years) in the UK Biobank, using genetic variants previously linked to habitual daytime napping to estimate its effects on brain outcomes. They found that people genetically predisposed to nap regularly had a larger total brain volume — a structural marker often interpreted as healthier brain aging — but no significant association with hippocampal volume, reaction time, or visual memory.

When comparing brain volumes, the researchers estimated that the difference associated with being genetically inclined to nap corresponded to about 2.6 to 6.5 fewer years of brain aging relative to those without those genetic variants. This “younger brain age” interpretation comes from how brain volume typically declines with age, not from directly measuring aging over time. The study’s use of genetic instruments strengthens evidence of a potential causal link between habitual napping and larger brain size, but it did not show clear improvements in cognitive performance and has limitations such as self-reported nap habits and lack of data on nap duration or timing.

Music isn’t just something you hear —
it’s something your brain becomes.

Neuroscience shows that regular exposure to music physically reshapes the brain by altering neural connections, neurotransmitters, and even brain structure.

Here’s what happens when music enters your nervous system:

• strengthens neural pathways linked to memory and learning
• increases dopamine release (motivation and pleasure)
• alters emotional processing in the limbic system
• changes connectivity between the left and right hemispheres
• reshapes areas responsible for focus, movement, and creativity

MRI studies reveal that people who regularly listen to or play music have thicker corpus callosum fibers, improved auditory processing, and enhanced emotional regulation.

The type of music matters too.
Calming, rhythmic music can lower cortisol and anxiety.
Chaotic or aggressive music can increase stress arousal and sympathetic activation.

Your brain adapts to what it repeatedly experiences.
Music is not background noise —
it’s neural training.

Choose the sounds that shape the mind you want to live in. 🧠✨

Researchers have found that chronic negative thinking can physically change the brain. When the mind stays focused on worry, regret, or self criticism, stress circuits stay active for long periods. Over time, this constant strain can shrink the hippocampus, the region responsible for memory and emotional balance. It can also weaken the prefrontal cortex, the area that supports focus, planning, and self control.

The good news is that the brain is neuroplastic, meaning it can change and repair itself. Studies show that simple practices like gratitude and mindfulness can begin rebuilding healthier neural pathways within weeks. When you repeatedly shift your attention toward positive moments or grounding exercises, the brain strengthens circuits linked to calmness, resilience, and emotional clarity.

Gratitude activates regions associated with reward and connection, helping the brain form new patterns that counteract negative thinking. Mindfulness reduces stress signals and increases activity in the prefrontal cortex, supporting better decision making and emotional regulation.

These practices work because the brain responds to repetition. The thoughts you choose to return to become the pathways you strengthen. Even small daily habits can create long lasting change, proving that internal patterns are not fixed but continually shaped by awareness and intention.
