Home Depot and Lowe's are having soil and mulch sales this weekend if you need some. Spring is probably my favorite time of year. It's refreshing to enjoy getting outside more often.

For anyone actually watching this page...I am trying to figure out if something that it makes sense to do. My intent was to be a page of random things that helped my family navigate life with some challenging things. However, I have learned that unless I am willing to pay FB to boost my posts the algorithms share it with few.

So, considering I have a job and not into content creation just to get a view, this page will probably not be around long term. I seem to have a little more interaction on Instagram with the same name.

However, if it has helped you or know.others you think it will help, please share. My regular FB page is not large-just family and people I have have known and they are not the type that shares things like this with others. :) No pressure though. Either it grows naturally without paying FB to get it on people's feeds or no need in having it...and that's OK too.

Today is the 5th cycle of my 5th type of treatment since September 2021. That means today is my 29th treatment cycle, 16 scans, and too many labs to count. 😀
Thankful for the that I play while doing treatments. Today is a beautiful garden scene.

Sometimes I think I want to work face to face with people a few days a week again, not every day, but maybe 2 or 3. Then I am reminded of all the traffic and germs I do not miss!

This is why I work from home. It keeps me healthier and allows my body to fight the C cells instead of all the other things that get passed around. I love to see family friends but often end up sick after seeing them because my immune system is fragile due to treatments. Hopefully one day it will all be a thing of my past!

Hope you all are having a great week!

I finally found out the messages about closing the account are fake so I can spend time sharing without worrying about it all being deleted for no reason. :)

Is anyone else ready for Spring? I have to keep reminding myself it is way too early to start planting seeds outdoors. Keeping busy is what helps me because I tend to over analyze when my brain doesn't have something to do.

Today it is still super cold in Georgia so I am reading a good book, which is an excuse to put off my to do list a little while. 😀 Have a great Saturday!

On Monday I was asked to talk to a church group about ovarian cancer and my story for a wonderful non-profit I got to know during frontline treatment. It's always a positive experience to talk about what I have gone through to help others and advocate for OC, but an added bonus to be able to talk about my faith and how much that has helped me along the way.

I think we all need to hold on tight to something that helps us through life. For me, it's my faith in God- great devotionals and scripture to remind me of hope, worship music, and good preaching that reminds me He is there through the good times and bad.

I know others have different religions or spiritual things they lean on also. It's about doing what helps you through the hard days in a positive way.

Fatigue and pain are probably the most common cancer treatment side effects. My doc and I discussed ways to improve this. I use a standing desk for work so not sitting all day, but she reminded me to sit and stand because using different muscles etc help.

I am going to start yoga again (from home) and using the treadmill when too cold to go out. Moving actually helps decrease fatigue and pain. Mine is always worse when not moving enough.

Some other things that have been proven to help is taking Claritin or Zyrtec for bone pain. I am not sure why it helps, but it often helps people on cancer treatments.

Yesterday a support group I have been in was talking about natural things we have heard that are good to use. Several of us have heard soursop and green tea are good to drink with many health benefits. I also like to use Manuka honey in my coffee or hot tea, especially when not feeling well.

Make sure to let your doctors know what you are eating, drinking, supplements to ensure nothing has a bad interaction with any meds you are taking.

I order this on Amazon (not an ad).

Working through medical issues and a hard diagnosis can be tricky. For me there is no one else paying the bills so I have always worked through as much as possible. The only time off was for surgeries but thankfully get sick time also.

Have you had to work through a medical crisis? If so, what tips helped you?

For me, other than eating well, I walk and move when I feel well and rest as much as I can on days I do not.

I have been notified many times that this page may be shut down by FB. Apparently they use AI bots who do not read because it is my information.

If they remove it I will find an alternative social media place to post other than FB or Instagram. If I disappear look for me under the same name.other places. What other social media do you use?

Today I got some good news. Thank God the current treatment plan is working! No growths. Areas have either decreased or stable.

It really is all about not losing hope when you have to deal with many types of treatments, regardless of the health issue you may be dealing with.

Hope you all enjoy the weekend!
