Exploring the old (1668) town ofOxford, MD. The Robert Morris Inn, America’s oldest full service inn, has served travelers since 1800. Oxford is a beautifully quiet little town that afforded us a nice little stopover while sailing the Chesapeake Bay.

Someone got caught Beer-handed after seven nights anchored in Hampton, VA to do a few minor boat projects. We are heading up the James River to visit the Jamestown Settlement. The first successful English settlement (1607) in North America.

Out Of Sight begins adventures in The Chesapeake Bay. We tour Fort Monroe while anchored at Old Point Comfort. This is one of the best preserved forts we visited to date. We will have much more details when we publish our next YouTube video .

After many, many, many delays, we have finally slipped the lines and are headed north to the Chesapeake Bay. 😎⛵️

Waiting, waiting, waiting! Sailing can teach patience even while you’re in a marina. As soon as the tide covers those barnacles, we will have enough water depth to leave and begin our trek up the ICW toward Norfolk, VA and the Chesapeake Bay.

75 degrees and sunny in Washington, NC. What a great day at McCotters Marina! Doing some quick maintenance jobs on Out Of Sight. If all goes well we will be back full time in March to resume our sailing adventures along the US East Cost.
