The calm before the storm. The next 2 days we will experience an extreme low pressure system coming over the top of us with high tides, strong winds, stronger gusts, and thunderstorms. It’s time to find a well protected anchorage and prepare for whatever Mother Nature throws at us. 😎⛵️⚓️💨⛈️

We expanded our sail inventory with an asymmetrical spinnaker to boost Out Of Sight's speed on downwind passages, and although we had no previous experience, we were able to figure it out.

Exploring more of Maryland on S/V Out Of Sight.

Beautiful sail this morning. 10-15 knots from the south. Much of the time we were doing 6+ knots, which is not bad for our big girl "Out Of Sight". Fired up the Yanmar when the wind dropped to 5 and less at about the same time we hit the ebb current running 1.25 against us. Tomorrow we will go into....

Continuing to make our way toward the Chesapeake Bay we make a stop along the way. Anchoring in Hampton Virginia for some exploring and never ending boat work.

Annapolis has been a great stop for us!

Annapolis is very unique, interesting and HOT! This morning we had a 1 mile dinghy ride and a 4 mile walk to do laundry and pickup some items at a local chandlery. Heat index was 104 degrees F. “Texas Hot”!

75 degrees and sunny in Washington, NC. What a great day at McCotters Marina! Doing some quick maintenance jobs on Out Of Sight. If all goes well we will be back full time in March to resume our sailing adventures along the US East Cost.
