Taking place over Labor Day weekend, the Galveston Island Music Fest is a two-day celebration of live music, entertainment, and culture all set on the historical island of Galveston, TX. The event is being designed, branded, and promoted to become a high-profile regional music festival on the order of the iconic New Orleans Jazz Festival. The Galveston Island Music Fest will feature three stages h
ighlighting music’s biggest names and top performers across multiple genres. The diverse mix of musical performances will also include the fastest-rising and most promising regional and local performers as part of an overall focus on musical education, and reflecting the rich musical heritage of the Texas Gulf Coast. This festival will attract music lovers and the music industry alike to the island and will culminate with a grand fireworks finale. The Galveston Island Music Fest was created to bring the community together over the joy of live music and entertainment. A key focus of the festival is the power of music in education. A portion of the event’s proceeds will go to Keeping the Music Alive Foundation, a 501(c) 3, that helps put instruments into the hands of children of all ages across the country. A percentage of these funds will go directly into the Galveston Island Independent School District’s music program.
