Confession from the social media girl… 🙋‍♀️

I’ve been so busy creating content, scheduling posts, taking photos and videos, and helping my clients stay visible that I’ve done exactly what I tell other business owners not to do…

I let my own social media slide. 😂

But honestly, I get it.

When you’re running a business, taking care of your customers comes first. Then there’s paperwork, emails, phone calls, schedules, employees, inventory… and somehow you’re also supposed to remember to take pictures, make a Reel and post consistently?

Sometimes there just aren’t enough hours.

That’s exactly why Eagle Rise Media exists.

If your social media has been sitting at the bottom of your to-do list too, maybe it’s time to take something off your plate. 💜

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is step away from the screen, get some fresh air and give your brain a little room to breathe.

One of the things I love about what I do is that my “office” can take me to some pretty great places — and when that place happens to include fresh ocean air, I’m definitely not complaining. 🌊

Funny thing is, stepping away is often when the ideas start coming.

Business owners: consider this your reminder that you don’t have to do everything, know everything or figure everything out today.

And if social media is one of those things taking up too much space in your head, that’s something I can help with.

Your busy season isn't getting in the way of creating content.

Your busy season IS the content. 👀

The orders going out.
The full parking lot.
The team getting ready.
The before and after.
The delivery arriving.
The customer favorite you can barely keep in stock.
The little behind-the-scenes moments nobody normally sees.

You don't always need to CREATE something for social media.

Sometimes you just need to recognize the content that's already happening around you.

That's one of my favorite questions to ask when I'm working with a business:

“What can I capture here?”

📱 Your everyday business may feel ordinary to you.

To your customers, it can tell your story.

🍂 Fall has a way of changing the pace.

For a lot of small businesses, it also means entering one of the busiest seasons of the year.

More customers. More appointments. More orders. More events. More things competing for your attention.

And social media?

That’s often one of the first things to fall behind.

But your busiest season is also when you have some of the BEST content happening right in front of you.

You don’t necessarily need more things to do. You may just need someone helping you capture, create and consistently share what you're already doing.

I honestly can't believe it's been 25 years since September 11, 2001.

For so many of us, we can still remember where we were when we heard the news. We remember watching in disbelief. We remember the fear, the heartbreak, the heroes—and we remember how our country came together afterward.

Today isn't about business or social media.

It's simply a day to remember.

The lives lost.
The families forever changed.
The first responders and everyday people who became heroes.
And a day that changed our country forever.

25 years later, we still remember. 🇺🇸

Sorry. Not Sorry!

I may not be done talking about my sunflowers yet. 🌻

I’ve loved watching them grow—and maybe that’s because they remind me a little bit of small business.

Growth doesn’t always happen quickly.
It isn’t always perfectly straight.
Some seasons are better than others.

You keep showing up.
You adjust.
You learn what works.
And you keep reaching toward the light.

Social media growth can feel the same way.

Not every post will take off. Not every Reel will get thousands of views. But every time you show up authentically, tell your story and give people another opportunity to know your business, you’re planting something.

Keep growing. 🌻

Today I made some time to get back on one of my favorite trails with Anaka. 🐾🌲

She’s still not quite 100% after her surgery, so we took it easy…which may have been harder for me than her. 😂 It was REALLY hard not to break into a jog. Okay, it was harder on her.

But slowing down isn’t always a bad thing.

There’s something about being outside, surrounded by nature and God’s beauty, that clears my head and fills it at the same time.

The changing seasons. The light through the trees. Anaka exploring the trail. The little things you might walk right past if you’re moving too fast.

And, of course, my content brain is always on:
“That would make a great picture.”
“There’s a story in that.”
“That would make a good Reel.” 😂

Fall is my absolute favorite time to hit the trails, and I’m ready for all the inspiration that comes with it. 🍂

Sometimes the best content ideas happen when you stop trying to create content and simply get out and live.
