Downtown Gardner is celebrating the autumn season today with the Oktoberfest, the Chair Luge and the Fabulous Fall Festival all taking place. At the start of the event, the Chair City Community Workshop will exhibit its "Gardner Makes" steamroller printing project that pays homage to Gardner-based manufacturers with old-style prints made right on the street. Gardner author Chris Daly, who recently published a book called “Hub Heroes: Revealing Profiles of Boston Sports Legends ... and More” will have a book-signing at John's Sports Shop (38 Main St.) from 11 AM to 2 PM. The Chair Luge starts at 2 PM.
