🎙️ Serving Effect Clip: Wes Hall | NC Adaptive Sports

“What if everyone had the chance to experience the joy of sports?”

That’s the heart behind what Wes Hall and North Carolina Adapted Sports are creating right here in our community.

Because for individuals with disabilities, those opportunities aren’t always easy to find…

But that’s changing.

On Saturday, April 18, they’re hosting Spring Adapted Sports Day at Poole Family YMCA and Lake Benson Park — and it’s going to be an incredible day.

From wheelchair basketball to kayaking, adaptive cycling, climbing, fishing, and more…

It’s all about creating space for people of all abilities to try something new, build confidence, and experience the joy of movement.

In this clip, Angela Mikus shares why the restaurant world is more than a job for her. It is a calling. Every plate she serves, every conversation at a table, every person who walks through the door gives her an opportunity to love well and make someone’s day a little brighter.

For Angie, the restaurant is not just a business
it is a ministry
a community hub
and a place where people are seen, known, and cared for.

Her passion is contagious and her joy in serving reminds us that no matter your role or workplace, you can make a difference right where you are.
