Nita Ambani, the Founder-Chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, shared an emotional message about her visit to Harvard University, where she delivered the keynote address at the prestigious Harvard India Conference 2025.
Speaking at the conference in Boston, Nita Ambani took a moment before her speech to share a deeply personal story. In a heartfelt message, she recounted how her 90-year-old mother was deeply moved by the opportunity for her to speak at such a prestigious institution.
In a video shared on the official Reliance Industries Limited handle on X, the company captioned: "Mother’s Pride: In an inspiring and heart-warming moment, Mrs. Nita Ambani shares how her mother felt proud that the same Harvard they aspired for but could not send young Nita because of financial constraints, has today invited her to deliver the keynote session on their platform."
The post also included a 50-second video of Nita addressing the audience.
In the video, Nita said, “Before I start, I just have to say something. This morning, my 90-year-old mother got very emotional. She called my two daughters-in-law, Shokla and Radhika, and said, ‘When Nita was young, we couldn’t afford to send her to Harvard, though she wanted to. But now, today, they have called her to speak at Harvard’.”
“Thank you so much for making my mother so happy today,” she told the crowd.
Nita delivered the keynote address at the Harvard India Conference, which took place on February 15 and 16. The conference is a student-led initiative that focuses on Indian business, policy, and culture, while also highlighting India’s emergence as a key player on the global stage.
