✨💖 I wish … people knew more about Wisconsin and its literary community. It’s growing, it truly is. Our state is a paradise of beautiful scenery, gorgeous views, incredible sunrises—and beaches! From Lake Geneva to Door County to the Northwoods, it’s described as the New Hamptons. But, between you, me, and Instagram, it’s BETTER. 💖😎

✨📚The literary community is growing. I’m a member of the Wisconsin Writers Association, a writing organization serving writers, poets, readers and book lovers for more than 75 years. We have a fall conference, workshops, and even a press. WWA Press has published memoirs and fiction. It’s hosting a horror anthology contest with a prize being publication in an upcoming anthology.

✨🥂 Our indie bookstore game is amazing. Dedicated bookstore owners share their love of books, writers, and local authors. I absolutely adore my bookstore partners and promote them as much as I can. There’s a “prime” day coming up, but Wisconsin’s indie bookstores are in the game, offering promotions, discounts, and events to boost interest and share their love of books at a great price.

👀 Read the second book in the series. Laugh and escape with Mel Tower as she solves a mystery in the Wisconsin Northwoods. Recipe included, because who can solve a crime without nourishment?

💖My favorite review of the book: "Do *not* read this book hungry! How the characters remain so physically alluring amidst the avalanche of ice cream sundaes, milkshakes, grilled bratwursts, fried cheese curds, chocolates and booze is as big a mystery as the murder." ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Yes, he gave it four stars, not five, because he got tired of the puns ... oh, well, can't always have the "write" stuff, eh? 😉✍🏻)

🚤 Model Wave is a clean read, and begins with a romantic date and a turtle sundae. It ends with a businessman dead on his mega-pontoon--and more questions than answers in the land of brandy old-fashioneds and fish fries.

This view inspired "The Backyard Model Mysteries." When we looked at the place, I walked through the backyard and KNEW it was where I wanted to write stories. The sunrises are glorious. And the wildlife! So far this June morning it's two fawns, two does, a gorgeous male pheasant, turkeys, and a hummingbird moth. ✨🌅
