WCSO SEEKING INFORMATION REGARDING WHEREABOUTS OF 17-YEAR-OLD

Walton County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking information regarding the whereabouts of 17-year-old Jonathan Lyman.

Lyman (pictured below on the left) is visiting family who live on County Highway 181 West in DeFuniak Springs from South Florida.

It is believed he left the residence sometime between 12:00 AM and 9:00 AM on July 4th when he took the family golf cart.

The golf cart was later located on Finks Mill Road in Alabama, reported by a passerby between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM.

At approximately 9:30 AM, his cell phone pinged about six miles north of Highway 89 in Alabama.

His direction of travel is unknown, and there is no confirmed information on what he is wearing at this time.

Our agency is working closely with law enforcement in Convington County. Drones, K-9 Teams, and other assets have been utilized over the last 24-hours to located Lyman.

We are asking the public’s help in the north end of our county into Alabama, if you have any information regarding his whereabouts, to contact us at (850)-892-8111.

Help us bring Jonathan home.
