I was able to attend a pair of H**p introduction programs that Cornell put on a few years ago. One was at the last Empire Farms Days south of Seneca Falls, the other was pretty much in my backyard at their acreage on Pre-Emption. I was able to walk through their almost fully grown plants of h**p in in their fields. I was able to see plants up close and walk among the aisles. They had fields of the large, green bushes of h**p strain that looks like ma*****na plants and the sparse faded green and brown of industrial h**p. Instead of an acre or two, I would love to see hundreds of acres of h**p planted around Geneva.

It seems the Heritage Foundation is behind Mitch McConnell and his decision to ban the infinitesimal THC amounts in commercial CBD products.

A ban on h**p-derived products with THC was added to the bill reopening the government, pitting Sen. Mitch McConnell against fellow Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, a h**p industry supporter.

This was the only win I gave Trump on his first try at President. After Henry J Anslinger outlawed the wildly popular h**p plant for racist reasons, Trump signed a bill allowing it's legal propagation. H**p is an amazing plant that uses 80% less water per kg of fiber grown and producing 750 to 6,500 kg of fiber per acre compared to an average of 450 kg per acre for cotton. H**p is a revolutionary plant both economically and environmentally. It's a loss to this country to pointlessly outlaw it again. Unless you're a religious fanatic worried of the EVILS OF THC or are a company growing an heirloom crop that diametrically opposes the benefits of h**p by damaging the soil and drains our water supplies for less yield per acre.

The 2018 Farm bill legalizes the (regulated) production of h**p; until now it has not been differentiated from other cannabis plants. Mich McConnell (R-KY) championed this change, as he represents a state that once had a thriving h**p sector. Cannabidiol products will still be regulated.

One acre of h**p can produce the same amount of paper as four acres of trees, and sometimes even more, because h**p grows much faster and has a higher cellulose content. While trees take decades to mature, h**p can be harvested in as little as 3-4 months, allowing for multiple yields per year. This makes h**p a more sustainable and efficient raw material for paper production.
