We are pleased to announce the release of our new single, Start Up The GTO. The song is an homage to the original American muscle car from the 1960’s, the Pontiac GTO. It also is a new take on songs about muscle cars from that era and features actual GTO engine sounds and a New Orleans jazz horn section, all wrapped into an infectious groove. The song was designed for road trips across American highways and byways.

As we conclude this Making of a Song series about Brave New Day, we end with the infusion of the topic of artificial intelligence into the lyrics. Because the base line is already setting an ominous tone, it makes sense to express the concern about the new growing trend of AI writing music. As songwriters ourselves, we feel and hope that AI cannot replace the human touch we put into our work.

Continuing with the songwriting and cooking metaphor, we are now adding the complimentary side dishes to our main course baseline. We used multiple types of electric guitar, keyboard and piano to round out and complete the music. The final touch was adding the vocals by Rudiger, whose voice had just the right amount of edge to stand out and drive the message home.
