Memphis history…from the inside.

Before the music.

There was Foote Homes.

After the city closed Hurt Village, his family moved to Foote Homes, and like so many young people growing up in Memphis public housing in the early 2000s, the neighborhood became our whole world.

The breezeways.
The porches.
The jokes and conversations that lasted all day.
And the one place everybody eventually ended up…

The court. 🏀

If you grew up in Memphis housing communities, you already know, the court wasn’t just for basketball. It was where everybody met, talked, laughed, and built memories.

This docuseries captures what that life was really like and shows a chapter of the story right before a major turning point in the life of the artist Rach Society.
