Thursday night, my heart smiled wide as I watched three women I love sweep the essay category at The Selah Awards.

But beyond the beauty of their words is the beauty of who they are:

A hemorrhagic stroke survivor boasting of her weakness for the sake of eternity and a Father’s glory…

A brilliant wordsmith sharing her journey back to authentic faith and the courage it took to start over at 50…

A gifted pastor vulnerably offering her own struggle as a call for warrior women everywhere to rise into their calling…

Lori, Gloria and Jessica, thank you for reminding us all over again why telling our stories matter.
