Guide for booking artists, musicians, and or bands for studio sessions:
a. When students are tracking an outside artist they must have the Band Member Info Sheet filled out completely and turned in to Project Staff at least 24 hours prior to their session start time.
Be sure to check in on time, timeliness is everything.
If students have not checked in with Project Staff on time for their session, they will be marked as a No Show, and added to the No-Book List. There is a 40 minute “grace period” to check in with Project Staff.
b. All the rules that apply to the students also apply to any musicians that visit the facility. It is the responsibility of the student to inform any visitor of the rules and regulations of the Conservatory. All guests must show valid photo ID (State-issued Driver’s License, Government-issued Photo ID, or Passport).
c. The gear list must be turned in at the time of the session, on a separate piece of paper. Project Staff will not use the microphone/track assignment setup list as a valid gear list. Some equipment students intend to use will require approval from Staff. Equipment requiring staff approval includes (but is not limited to) the Yamaha pianos, Fender guitars, Fender basses, amplifiers, cabinets, microphones, and DI boxes, as well as any equipment owned by instructors. If students intend to use any of the aforementioned equipment, they must fill out an equipment approval list complete with the session date, any equipment requested, and staff signature. A list of equipment available at each campus is available on CRAS Connect. Students may also email Brett Atwood with any gear requests. Include the date and time of session, campus, studio, and equipment requested in the email.
d. Students are not allowed to set up and record microphones in the control room.
e. No food, drinks, drugs, guns, weapons, violence, hate, or anything of the sort allowed in the studios or on campus.
